There’s definitely more evidence than usually this game that Kanye could have been mafia and not town. I think we should know more so by the end of Day 2. Usually by then, especially if we have an inspector reveal, we have a good feeling if the person was mafia or town and can strategize accordingly. We do have a tendency to vote of townies Day 1 but we clearly don’t have enough evidence yet either way and I don’t think we should limit ourselves yet. I’ll save the tunnel vision for a little later.

I've said it already, thor has said similar things, Town Zig v. Town Kanye, Town Zig gives a better shot to win. You can sit here and say that Zig's going to get tunnel vision, color code some shit, and generally be snarky with everyone, but to say he's going to be less helpful than the player who's never played this game (secret hitler is not the same thing as what we're doing) on this board, is dumb.
Giving the rookie a shot is a fine reasoning, saying that he's going to be more beneficial isn't.
That certainly could be the case, but personally I've never been in a Mafia bunch who used their first whack to solely misdirect. But we have discussed that ad nauseam as a group before. No one has voted for ZIG yet, however, so while the whack could point his direction (as well as a number of other players' way), it seems at this point most of us are aware that he is an easy target so it seems town is being cautious in that regard. I'm surprised at this point that Mafia would continue to use that trick, since everyone points it out so much.
I mean, the player who Mafia apparently thought may be the Inspector voted against you AND directly named you as someone he would keep an eye on at this point. So you are a pretty good choice given our limited information. And since he also named myself, I think your vote is a fair vote as well.

Thank you for pointing that out. That was lost in trying to read through everything. So you and I are in the same boat of being a mention of who to keep an eye on only.

Oh, I'm not advocating for limited ourselves based on it. I was just curious because, I guess, it seems one way to read the whack implicated Kanye. BUT, I think if you look at Jaz's posts he makes statements that go against the idea that he was inspector with Kanye or your name. In fact, I think his wording when talking directly about players seems to imply he doesn't know their roles. If you are reading him as possible inspector, which the mafia would. The only part they could misread about ZIG/Kanye was when he said it looked like a possible mafia between you two but almost everything else directed at the two of you is worded in a way that seems unlike an inspector with one of your names.
Having said that, looking at Jaz's post I do see some comments that could be interpreted as him having more info. So I could see that leading to mafia paranoia.

I think Zig is detrimental to the town, though that's basically in every game I play. If he's not Mafia, he's their useful tool in creating enough chaos for Mafia to hide behind.
This is also one of the most disingenuous posts this game. ZIG is actually good at mafia, and painting him like a Viking or KDogg type doesn’t really comport with reality IMO.
Zig explicitly stated that I sucked as an Inspector. I pointed out to him that I had my given name plus a correct second name, and yet Kdogg faked it and played him like a fiddle. If Kdogg isn't all that great, then how would Zig get suckered by him?
Also, Viking has a problem with targeting females - thinking they're emotionally weak and will crack under the pressure.
I suppose that might be a little of a stretch, but imo, if you're voting someone off because you think they're a 'detriment' or 'a liability', I'm assuming you mean 'more than ____'
Can you give some reasoning why? Does this have something to do with LLL's reasoning about ZIG, Maddog, and Potent based on the whack? If so, that would seem to me like we've got two of three people with votes because of a possible connection to ZIG, but not ZIG. Just awkward to me.
I've been busy at work lately (been pulling at least 10 hours a day all week), so forgive me (everyone) for not being all that responsive so far.
I did throw a vote on Potent for a possible Zig connection. It may not amount to anything, but it was something I felt was worth watching. I have no problem with switching my vote to Zig (again) if need be.

Yeah, nothing of Jaz’s that I’ve read gives me an inspector feel. Of course that doesn’t mean that he wasn’t but he didn’t post much which is normal, but all the instances where he mentioned players specifically, like Pablo being quiet, or the ZiG / Kanye split with 2 “save” voters for each (Maddog Potent for me, LD LLL for Kanye) all seemed like fairly obvious points.
It hasn’t really been looked at yet, but the fact that the 2 players that are dead came from ZIG voters (Thor, Kanye, Jaz, LD, LLL), it leaves all 6 Kanye voters alive. It could mean absolutely nothing, but it bugs me a bit and just gives me the feeling that Mafia also want us to be taking a look at the 6 Kanye voters (Pablo, SFA, ZIG, Danbob, Maddog, Potent).

Working right up to the deadline tonight. Should get off around 8 Central. Might get a chance to check in, but it's Friday so I'll probably be pretty busy behind the bar.
Day One count. After the three empty votes were made, Maddog "saved" ZIG, then LD "saved" Kanye, and then I "saved" ZIG. I know I didn't save ZIG, I just wasn't comfortable with all of the switching. I think that's enough for me to put Maddog into the runoff right now.
With the vote count on D1, unless Kanye was mafia and LD and Kanye were working together, it seems like only one mafia was on ZIG at the end taking into account the classic 2-1 split. With two ZIG voters in the runoff already, I'm fine with Maddog being the third for his late vote switch, but I'm not sold on it and want to see Thor and LD advance as well.

Sorry, guys. I've been keeping up and I've reread the thread a couple times. Just can't come to a conclusion on what I want to do. Also, I've got a bad habit of waiting around and voting last over the course of five games or so. partly cause I can get away with and partly because forces others to do most of the voting helps me.... thought I know it doesn't help anyone else.
Looking over Jaz's posts I'm pretty positive the following post is the one that got him whacked. it's been posted before as well...
This one's a bit of a toss-up. At first it seemed to me as if Kanye was being coached, but given that he has indeed played this game before, I don't really have much suspicion of him. I do have ideas about who might or might not be Mafia if he does turn out to be nefarious, but I'm not wont to voice those ideas at the moment.
I also don't have any particular reason to vote for ZIG, though I would like to state for the record that my vote for him has nothing to do with his vote or playing style. I just have more notions on Kanye, and if any are them are right I'd like to see where him being alive takes us. And if they're wrong, then it's a toss-up anyway.
As I've said, I don't think Jaz was purposefully trying to make overt hints or anything... IF he was inspector.
That doesn't mean the mafia saw it that way. I think they saw the bolded as him hinting that he had a Kanye voter's name. At the time he voted that would be Pablo, LD, SFA, ZIG, and Dan. We can rule out Zig (not clear him, but rule him out of this specific possibility.) I'm not mafia. I've already explained why I don't think potential inspector Jaz would have Pablo's name(ruled out of just this observation).
So that leaves us with Dan or LD. I'm glad at least one of these two is maybe heading to the runoff.

This whack really goes all over the damn place, so I'm open to better ideas. I'm really not sure how the whack ties to Thor but it might not be a bad idea to get all new folks in to spread out the voting info for later.

Yeah, sorry. I meant do we want to make it 4. 3 leaves things odd and it just drags shit out.
I'd prefer not to have 3 myself but I'll do whatever ya'll want because I'd just be re-voting anyway if I avoid stacking. Might as well do it now.
3 or 4 is fine. Both require new votes and / or switches.
We have 3 with Potent's vote for Maddawg. It kinda sucks because two re-voters will just be self-preservation types. But I'm not sure the best thing to do right now is cause a lot of last minute vote switches.
I'm still not sure why Thor is in here but he could be silent mafia I guess. This three will do. If I vote LLL or Potent without a reason I'd likely just switch. Seems a waste of time.

Figured Thor made sense to expand the conversation and the runoff. Would have considered Dan as well if he had a vote at the time but overall I feel better voting with Dan than against him, so I'll leave my vote where it is.
