Post Malone would be the Travis Scott of this year. Local Texas phenom on the rise.
The Lumineers and Of Monsters and Men are interchangeable weak junk that I will be avoiding. Hopefully they're back-to-back on one side of the park. Just before Mumford !?!/

FWIW, I caught Of Monsters and Men in 2015 and they were inoffensive. Generic and forgettable, yes, but The Lumineers are certainly worse in that regard.

Looking at ticket options thinking about doing the GA+ option. Has anyone done vip tho and is it worth it? Also is it easy to get a good spot at this fest for performances?

No. We've looked at it but passed. The value isn't there at all for me. I do VIP or above if/when there is solid value for what you get. Of the Live Nation major festivals, only Voodoo gets close to getting your money's worth. And their Platinum is $1,400 vs. $3,600 which I'd never in a 1000 years pay that much to go to ACL. Not sure about Lolla, but Bonnaroo is not worth the money nor did ACL appear to be. Last year, they said you do get to watch sets in an air conditioned area on a screen if you want to. But fuck that. Most of the fun of actually going to a festival VIP is being able to see from preferred areas. Other than the shaded area and some preferred food and drinks, there doesn't really seem to be any value with paying double for the GA+ over the GA. OTOH, it would be really nice if they figured out a way to add more shade to the mf'n grounds though.
To your other question, sometimes. You can post up for shows and move fairly close to almost everything but the headliners and super popular that year acts (e.g. Russ 2017). But if something big is going on at either of the main stages, you'll need to be there early or work your way hard if you want to be close to the front. You don't have to be to get good sound/view, but if that's what you were thinking, you might have to work for it on those two stages. The small tent (Tito's maybe?) can also fill up fast. Most of the other stages you can get within a few rows if you're there before starting time.

Thanks Esteban appreciate the info man. I don’t have to be on the rail at all but atleast like to be able to see the artist on the main stages. So use to doing LIB vip last 2 years and it being worth it so for my first time at ACL wasn’t sure. I’m really hoping the lineup don’t look like the above either this is my last hope a good fest this year since I’m sure I’ll do voodoo anyways since it’s close for me and not bad on pricing at all for the weekend.

The price of Voodoo is what keeps me coming back....well and that it's Halloween and in New Orleans and my friend lives a few blocks away. But, price.
