Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I feel like LN put a gun to U2's head to get them to do TJT tour and Roo, so I don't know whether they'd do another festival.
U2 was one of those bands that AC tried to get every year so when they mapped out the Joshua Tree tour, they actually called AC and offered it in order to promote the tour IIRC. There’s an interview online about it and I can’t seem to find it.

Yeah I definitely know from whatever AMAs and random U2 articles/interviews that that was Bonnaroo's white whale, along with Prince.
There was some Grantland article in 2015 where U2's manager or someone was like "you know, U2 doesn't have to play Bonnaroo to stay relevant". Which, they didn't, but it made you wonder why they'd say that.

Since it’s my first time going to ACL finally here’s a little wishlist I’m hoping to see atleast 5–7 of these artist on the lineup. The Raconteurs, Kanye West, Gary Clark Jr, Asap Rocky, The Revivalist, Dermot Kennedy, 2 Chainz, Anderson Paak, Smashing Pumpkins, Kid Cudi, Jenny Lewis, JID, Weezer, Bring Me The Horizon, and Sharon Van Etten.

What are some of yours?
Would be my 7th ACL, and all I want are The Raconteurs and Anderson Paak.& The Free Nationals.
Oh.....
And I want Beyonce to be are surprise headliner.
Beyonce / Tame Impala / Childish Gambino
The Lumineers / Flume / Cardi B
The Raconteurs / Kacey Mustgraves / Anderson Paak. & The Free Nationals

Sacrilege putting the Raconteurs under those 2nd line names, lol

lmao agreed on the names above The Raconteurs. Idk what it is but not a Beyoncé fan i would personally prefer Lady Gaga in that Category but i could still get down with that lineup!

Are The Raconteurs better than those names? Of course. Are they bigger than those names? Nah. Their last album was 11 years ago, their newly announced tour has them playing mid-sized theaters even in the bigger cities, and most festival goers can't name a song of theirs outside "Steady as She Goes".

Hmm you right just hurts to see them below all those but yeah i can get that.
Semi-confirmed/Seem quite likely: Muse, The Raconteurs, Kacey Musgraves, Judah and the Lion, Explosions in the Sky (W1 only)
Possible: Tame Impala
Out: Ariana Grande, P!nk, Imagine Dragons, B-52s, Cake, Ben Folds
Lmk what else this needs, plz.
Atleast Imagine Dragons are out! Also really hoping for some awesome headliners. I’m not big on Muse but don’t hate them either would like a conflicting headliner of Raconteurs or Big hip hop act that i would like at the same tike if so personally.
Does it make sense to consider Gambino in the very likely category?
Idk i wanna day yes cuz he’s doing so many fest and made up all his tour dates last year so would be nice of him to make up ACL and Voodoo but at the same time i know a lot of artist don’t always make up fest dates.
It just seems like he's playing everything and since he cancelled last year he would make it up.
That’s what I’m hoping man. He was one of the main reasons i went to voodoo fest last year so sucked when he bailed. But i did end up going to his makeup tour date in Nashville and was probably my favorite show of 2018. So I’ll gladly take him at a fest but also if not I’m grateful i still saw him last year if the other headliners this year are still on point.
The dudes popularity seems to ever climb so I wouldn't see it as a bad move for ACL and VooDoo to push for a return.
yeah i know last year for both it was more of a rarity fest performances which would sometimes hurt a fest a following year but he’s still as popular and appreciated that i don’t think it would hurt either lineup at all still.
The GNR-ACL stove is getting hot. In Slash’s recent CoS interview: “There’s a handful of gigs that are happening at the very end of September and through October, so [Louder Than Life is] just one of them.“
How many acts are there going right now that would be in front of GNR? That list can’t be much more than 5-6 acts long.
Really not sure how they lineup they haven’t played a ton of a fest so wasn’t sure but hell im personally hoping they’re in for this i had to miss them New Orleans when they came due to a new job at the time.
