I dont see a problem with ZIG tossing a vote on JTR pre-runoff and later moving it off him. It’s not like JTR is currently in the runoff, so I don’t see what the big deal is.
I’m also not in the camp of coddling new players. When I was a new player I got my ass handed to me for multiple games before anyone gave me some respect, and it was for good reason: because I was new and sucked at this game.
Unless there's a circumstance we should get rid of them, I like to keep new players until at least Day 2, to help gauge how they react in various stages of the game.
I don't think new players should be coddled, but I don't care to vote for them off without reason in the first round either simply because everyone is equally likely to be town, and I want new players to come back again.
Zig, you say that you moved your vote off JTR after he didn't throw a hissy fit like a lot of new players. To me thinking he's acting differently from how new payers usually act would make me more suspicious than less, do you disagree? It'd pique my curiosity at least and make me want to keep my vote there.

I agree with the first part of this. I’d like to stay around to get the experience and know what’s going on but it is what it is. I understand wanting vote a new player off.
The vote to move Danbob into the runoff and then another vote for Danbob recently has caught my attention

You’re basically saying nothing to see here, move along. You should know better by now because we’ve seen a common Mafia strategy over the years, myself included, where they’ve tried swaying players, especially new ones, to gain allies.
