Yeah, I just generally don't get scheduling truncated sets in a stage that closes early anyway.

We haven't really had full enough days to warrant short sets though. The Sonora could conceivably go whenever it wanted to given that they close it so early, and we've been shutting so much down for headliners recently that there isn't really an argument that tents are too full. For both Beyonce and Em last year, most tents were shut down.
Don't get me wrong I actually love this year's lineup, but I am getting annoyed that with rising costs, we have less options than usual. The outdoor and Sahara closed for most headliners is becoming standard operating procedure, and even closing down Mojave and Gobi early. Compare that with 2011-2013 where you'd have everything running until close most nights with strong counter programming. Anyways that's a different conversation entirely.

Right, I mean it's Coachella telling them "you get 35 minutes, not 50" instead of Iceage asking for 35 minutes.
I agree with you on how the festival seems to be winnowing options. They seem to be responding with Do Lab and Yuma as opposed to Mojave and Gobi. I wish they'd do both more consistently.
I've said this before, but if we get a repeat of 2013, where I have to miss Prydz for Disclosure again, that will be really weird and annoying. But hey, I'm always down for some Disclosure. Not sure I'd want to deal with the packed as balls Do Lab, but maybe it would be relatively sparse vs Ariana.
The only set I saw it get unbearable for was Skrillex on my way from the beer barn to Hawtin in 2016(?). We had no clue why it was so crazy over there until the next day, but the other surprise acts there haven't been that bad from the couple I've attended.
Never had been to the Dolab in my life until 15 minutes before (didn't know who guest would be and hadn't known much about it. Just went to catch end of Netsky I believe). I was in the tent barely and then I remember a stampede of people pushing me and some friends all the way to the middle. Very worth it, hot af in there though
Might dabble with Emily King, Cola Boyy, Rico Nasty if I dont get in late this day then its Pusha T -> UMO -> Blood Orange -> YG -> Perfume or Soffi Tucker -> H.E.R. -> Ariana Grande
Only missing SOBxRBE and Soccer Mommy. H.E.R. closing is a pleasant surprise but I hate that It runs so close to Ariana.

Easy Life (if i make it) -> ??? -> Pusha T -> UMO -> Lizzo -> HYUKOH -> Gesaffelstein -> Perfume -> Jon Hopkins -> Ariana. A late start but good from there, and this is the best day for a late start.
I'm fucking livid they put Easy Life so early. There's just no way I make it in that early, and even if I do, there would be nothing else I would care about seeing for over 3 hours. This is dumb.

Yeah, that's probably the only set time I'm really upset about. I also doubt i can get in that early, especially since the next thing I want to see is Pusha. Might as well relax and recover by the pool a little longer sunday.
