Postjack thanks again getting a guy into Phish. Whole roo crew are hooked. We only were able to get Charleston night 3 tickets but it was amazing. Probably going hit 420 fest and find a nice summer run when dates are announced.
I asked someone with confirmed insider knowledge about who might be at Roo this year, and their response was "lol get fucked" - I'm not really familiar with that band. Do you think it might be some sort of clue?!?1?

Holy Fuck confirmed!
As well as Fucked Up, Tropical Fuck Storm, and STRFKR

makes me happy to hear that. i haven't listened to any of the charleston shows yet but the night three setlist looks wild. the curtain, mound, brian and robert, alumni blues > letter to jimmy page > alumni blues, it's ice, and Izabella are the kinds of songs people spend years chasing. and nobody even chases a chalkdust torture reprise because it never happens lol.
summer plans for me, i already have Movement tickets and a hotel room so i can't imagine that not happening. beyond that it depends on how the bonnaroo lineup and phish tour shakes out. would love to do bonnaroo again but its lineup and phish tour dependent.
fwiw it's rumored that some sort of curveball makeup will take place in late august, possibly at the lockn grounds. unfortunately my current work schedule would make that impossible for me, but IMO a standalone phish fest is the absolute best way to see phish. you can pick out individual shows that are objectively better for one reason or another, but the overall feel and immersion of a phish festival is hard to top. the sheer amount of music is great too, at magnaball they played almost 12 hours of music across eight sets and three days.

Wow I completely forgot about Holy Fuck. Surprisingly great live show. It’s been a minute

That chalkdust reprise was so sick. Made you feel like a shark with sunglasses on surfing a huge wave. Didn’t know any other songs besides chalkdust , so now I have a 2 whole sets of new music. Highlights from my girlfriend and I were ; everything is hollow , stealing from the faulty plane , and it’s ice. I’ve been hearing about a curveball make up fest and I can only pray it’s real, be a lot more fun than doing a couple shows
Even if Space Jesus is there for a 3rd straight year I don't think they'd use him as a Roo Clue. But my initial guess for the clue was Rezz as well seems witchy and Spacey which is her vibe and the spirals behind the picture definitely seem like her
Is it a hot take to say Vampire Weekend was terrible when they played in 2014? One of the most lackluster sets I've seen on What
THANK YOU. God they were just the opposite of lively; lackluster is a great word to describe that set. It was my first Roo (and my first big music festival in general), so I felt nervous about splitting off from my group even though my heart was telling me to go see Neutral Milk instead...staying at the VW show is one of my bigger live music related regrets.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

Rezz feels like she's been due to play for a couple years now, and we could do a whole lot worse in terms of EDM at that booking level. That being said, she feels a bit too big for only the third clue unless they're not doing the clues that way this year where the bigger acts are revealed later

she was there in 2017. her new tour is pretty good, saw it couple months ago
I don't know a whole lot about Rezz but my understanding is that she's a pretty decent get for EDM and has been on the come-up for a bit. Not bad, Roo.
