Tame's new music rollout is so weird. They release two songs that get played to everloving death (on XMU, at least), and then they hit LN talk shows and tour on the strength of those two new songs with very little news about when the next album is coming out. They have a decent amount of hype behind them but it's odd to do essentially an album circuit on two songs and no album.
Meh. Albums are kinda a dying format for most artists at this point.

You think so? It seems to me that even artists that drop loosies more than most still put a lot of effort into making strong, cohesive albums. Thinking about Tyler, Frank, Sufjan, Billie Eilish, Childish...lots of good-to-great albums in the past five years.

Personally, I spend most of my time listening to music on Spotify either at work or in my car. I virtually never have the time to actually listen to a full album. Usually it's playlists on shuffle.
There's an immediacy of releasing singles instead of holding onto them until another 11-15 tracks come together that is attractive, I think.
I'm not saying that artists are going to outright stop putting out albums, just that a lot of times they're more going to be a collection of singles than cohesive or high-concept bodies of work. Just my two cents.
As much as this community would loathe it I think Twenty One Pilots are a very real possibility to be the number 2 this year a la Post Malone. Love them or hate them they have a Huge following. If they can’t get the Foo’s then TØP could be a real ticket mover.

They’ve stated that they’ll tour into 2020 for the Trench cycle and with Tyler’s daughter being born soon, i could easily see them just going light on the actual touring in 2020 and hitting a couple fests to cap off the era like they did with blurryface in 2017.

Why do all these have Vampire Weekend? That kills it for most of these for me. I like 5, 2 and 4 but they would have to have a great undercard for me to attend.
