I think both acts are borin’ A-F, and don’t get me started on Radiohead.
And at least sang_xcx remembers Tool ‘07 without rose-tinted glasses. Nothin’ crazy special, sure Tom Morrello and an extra song. But I couldn’t have cared less.

You can’t even get that right.
Radiohead is extremely high on my played list. But Radiohead on the farm was the first time I did not want to be in the What Field and proceeded to tag the back wall to a show I was unimpressed for. I will also tell you that I have the 06 recording, and like it better than the show I saw.

I was only present at the 06 show, a lot of people complain that the 12 show was underwhelming. What went wrong there? Was it just a sloppy show or what?

I was at both, and enjoyed them both. 2006 was definitely better, but I'd still out 2012 up near the top Bonnaroo shows I've seen. It had a lot of king of limbs stuff, which may be why?

This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.

It was great, but it seemed on the weird side then. Some people said not enough people knew the newer shit at the time. I thought Phish was the best show that weekend then Spectrum Road and probably Radiohead, Umphrey’s, Puscifer and Black Star.
Tool are a barrel of fun. But I’m Tool Army. VW are boring as shit.

It was my least favorite of the 7 times I've seen Tool.

Spectrum Road was amazing and there was maybe 40 people there total. Probably the smallest crowd I’ve ever seen at a tent
oh boy, just saw vampire weekend and flume last year. vampire is awesome live. flumes new show is alright, he just broke a bunch of shit on stage and some of the stuff he played was cool but it was like 80 guests for all his popular songs. this shows signs of me not having to go back

Yeah. That was a big highlight. Me and Jabco walked over there after RHCP and were the first ones at the tent. We walked right up to the rail and posted up for the whole show. You're right in that there were only a few people there - especially early. But I do remember a lot of people walking by and stopping once they could hear how good it was. I never got packed (especially inside), but there did end up being a bunch of people at the end. That's one of my favorite Bonnaroo sets of the 3 years I went. It's the only time I ever got to see Jack Bruce (RIP), first time I saw Medeski that I know of and also was the first time I got to see Vernon Reid play guitar though I've since been able to catch Living Color a couple of times.
This kind of chimes in with the high talent post I made yesterday. I like when Bonnaroo isn't afraid to bring in shit like this, Medeski/Martin/Scofield/Wood and other musically valuable sets.
