Didn't someone say Roo is looking to book different headliners next year since this year was all repeats. That's why I'm throwing out Dolly, Rolling Stones, the Who, etc.

Roo’s headliners seemed much cheaper and the subs more expensive than previous years so I don’t think they’d make a strong effort for the Stones compared to previous years.
The Strokes were a very important band to music journalists living and doing cocaine in NYC during the early '00s.
A person on here once said that The Killers and The Strokes were music for people who gentrify cities and I felt personally attacked. But I also didn’t really have a comeback.
A Nashville arena show in late January puts Chance out of contention for this, right?
There is basically no demand for Chance at all right now anyway. He’s pushed back his tour until 2020 supposedly due to poor ticket sales.
What’s the source on this? It doesn’t make sense to me that if your tour was selling poorly you’d go through of all the hassle and monetary costs just to book the same venues.

He's lowering the prices for all of his stops. He's making his GA sections GA1 and GA2, and if you previously bought any GA/Floor tickets you'll automatically be GA1 for the rescheduled date

Also to be a father to his newborn and love his wife according to an insta post he made today which is fine but basically every tour date had several hundred to a few thousand tickets available on stubhub for pretty cheap a couple days ago.
I used to be a huge fan of this guy but like many of others have expressed I have no desire to see him anytime soon.

And they sold out. If it's not broken. . . . ? . . . . . I liked the 2019 lineup with the under card emphasis. My guess is there will be one really big name since they probably more comfortable with expected income. Hard to predict though. There are so many years where headliners come out of left field - No one was even talking about Elton John, Billy Joel, Lionel Richey, U2, The Weekend when they showed up.

Man I'm pretty sure all of those acts were talked about.. Lionel is the only one I can't recall reading about?

Lionel was a surprise, I think Elton might have been too but I can’t remember. U2, the Weeknd and especially Billy Joel were not left field though.

Yeah, I guess that's true. It seems like about every band that isn't broken up or out of the country is on the list. These acts just weren't "favorites" in expectation at the time. I have found the rumors and research do a good job at determining who is NOT going to be on the lineup. The headliners generally come from the list with the "not availables" removed, but picking the correct ones out of that long list has been less accurate.

U2 playing Joshua Tree, RHCP and Chance was the leak on reddit like months in advance, maybe October? The Weeknd was also confirmed ahead of time based on his tour dates.
Edit: looking at the 2017 thread, it was out by, at the latest, September 25th.

There was some Grantland article from I think 2015 where their manager said "U2 don't have to play Bonnaroo" unprovoked in explaining how big and relevant they were lol. Which is true, but Live Nation flexed on them and made them play, I guess.
