there’s no fucking way
Its sad because its totally within the realm of possibility as far as budget and everything goes, but they would never book something this good without sprinkling in some trash. Granted, we'd all be stoked about it, but it probably wouldn't sell very well
Wow, they were sixth in ‘05. I’d say pre-HL most definitely. And I do love me some TBC! I need to get the book their drummer Steve Gorman just released.
fun fact: a good friend of mine's cousin was (is?) being considered as a guitar player for the reunion. not sure what the status is, friend mentioned it to me at lunch a few weeks back.

I think the overall lineup may have suffered from them trying to make Thursday more of a full day. Definitely could have used that Rufus money on some better stuff throughout the weekend. Also surprised that there are two rock headliners and the highest billed rap artist is Gunna?!
just noticing they booked Derrick May, that's great. Mathew Jonson is good too.
Do you have a mix for Mathew? I didn’t recognize any names for the Jungle on Fri/Sat but knew almost all of them for Thursday/Sunday so anyone solid those days would deff help fill the schedule
EDIT: looking over this i'm betting on a lot of crossover with roo.
I’m actually thinking we’ll only get a couple from here. Probably just some smaller acts of Lotus, Papadosio, Cory wong, Gus Dapperton, Lucy Dacus, Slenderbodies. I guess I could see SPatBB, Blood Orange or Bob Moses as crossover so maybe we do get a lot, but I feel we won’t get Glass Animals which I think people are hoping for. Oh and of course we get Vampire Weekend

sure thing, here's one. haven't listened to it all but it's recentish:

i could see bassnectar or kaskade as a LN which. or maybe what?. if they redid a friday night childish > phish as travis scott > bassnectar that would be a pretty wild night.
haim hasn't been at roo since 2016 right? probably time for them to come back. good sit-in potential with VW as well.
earthgang, sublime with rome, MGK, ghostland observatory. it does seem like any of these smaller bands are possible for roo. i guess i'm not saying much really other than "hey these bands touring festivals in 2020 could also play another festival in 2020".

I wouldn’t put too much stock in Okee’s crossover history with Roo considering they were once run by former members of Roo’s staff and now they’re not. There will likely be some, but it’d have less to do with whatever the trends were from that time frame and more to do with the fact that most middle-to-large festivals have at least a little crossover.
I feel like Lizzo is poised to return to Roo. She was there in 2016 so there's a history but also a decent amount of time, and with her blowing ridiculously up over the past few months I'm sure fests are clamoring for her.

been think about this a lot. I’m still not getting the appeal of her, but I keep having a feeling that she’ll be high up on the lineup
