Still haven't really looked into these guys, but I'm encouraged by this video.
esteban anything on The Soul Rebels? Im assuming you've seen them multiple times? Their list of collaborations is interesting. Im expecting them to be all over the place throughout the weekend.
Yeah. I’ve probably seen them 10-15 times. Soul Rebels rule. They play what I call street brass. It’s super funky and similar to like Rebirth Brass Band. They can play anything much like Pres Hall but way more stoned and loose. It’s always a big dance party when they play. I actually saw them at Bonnaroo in 2012. They will undoubtedly be part of the Superjam, and I think the last time I saw them was on stage with Marilyn Manson at Voodoo for Bewutiful People. I saw them back NAS at Jazz Fest a couple years back, and that was great. Like you said, they’ll probably pop up at various shows that weekend doing guest collaborations, probably a second line through the crowd and Snake and Jakes if Bonnaroo still has that.

In the plaza descriptions they mentioned that surprise performances from names on the lineup will haplen at the NOLA themed plaza, so Id assume they are guaranteed to player there. Maybe during one of the Phish sets or JRAD?
Either way, their set on Sunday seems like it may be getting overlooked by everyone shitting on how bad sunday is. Kika / Soul Rebels / Bombino / Iglooghost during the day on Sun would be pretty solid.
So far i’ve discovered a lot of music that should be fun, at least fer me (this lineup does nothin’ fer my wife). But I haven’t found anythin’ new that I’m like, “Holy fuck, I can’t wait until this band tours closer to me so I can see them again!” Granted I haven’t really found anythin’ like that since maybe the Arkells back in 2015/2016. And nothin’ as fuckin’ great as discoverin’ both Miike Snow AAANNNDDD[/u] Lotus on Thursday of 2010. That was such an awesome day fer music!

Enjoying a lot of stuff on the Anoushka Shankar release from Friday. It's basically a greatest hits sort of career retrospective, so great place to start and hear her various sounds if you were looking for a place to start!
I'd be there for sure if Friday wasn't so damn crowded; it'll depend on the schedule though

I’m really hoping to be able to see her, but I agree Friday is so jam packed that I’m not too hopeful. One situation I could see happening, though, is her opening the What - in which case, I think there’s a better chance I catch her. If she’s later in the afternoon/evening in a tent though, I’d assume she’ll conflict with someone else I’m likely to pick over her.

Understood, even though Friday isn’t super appealing to me because the second line doesn’t appeal beyond a base level for me (and I’m not much digging any of the new GRiZ). But there’s almost no chance anything at that time will be musically better. I tend to wander from show to show in the afternoons, but she’s become a Top 10 set for me. Baring a conflict I have to split, I’ll likely chill there for that whole set. Only probably a few minutes of Jade Cicada if he’s a conflict or 50/50 if Beach House is would interest me enough Friday to miss this. Phish would be the obvious exception and I’d still probably pass by for some of her set. I don’t see Gojira as a time conflict but i would 50/50 that as well.
Mockingbird is one of my favorite songs. What an incredible sound and soulful voice. Jericho has been called a country Bruce Springsteen. Can't wait to see this guy under the warm Tennessee sun.

Faye Webster's full album dropped yesterday. The first two singles are still the biggest standouts by far, but it's a very pleasant listen and should be a great, laid-back Sunday afternoon set

Kika Moyo
I fully expect no one else in my crew to want to get into Centeroo that early on Sunday and for them to all miss the quack out of that set while I'm front row

I'll be in the same boat so I'll try to meet up with you.
Still have no idea what I'm doing with regards to Soul Rebels vs. Bombino vs. Iglooghost
Honestly they're all decent choices. My current plan is Iglooghost but I could see myself at Bombino if I'm want something more easily digestible or Soul Rebels if my gf wants to hear some horns and I'm not feeling headstrong. Though it's most likely that I'll be at none of these because I'm lazy and will stay at camp.
