Idk why but Kanye refusing to just refer to him as JR is cracking me up a lot.
I want to not be drunk when I vote so Ill try to get it in before the NFL games tomorrow.
It's the same reason I refer to you as kpowers 😭
Make a chart and memorize it. I'm guilty as hell also but my issue is I just don't change my habits. i just recently started calling Thor "Thor" I had still been calling him/referring to him as "Jimmy" for a long time after that. I think the only reason I stopped was that to many newer players only knew him as thor
I actually think that Dr. Joe wouldn't add a 5th if he was mafia, it's not his style.
And I actually think that mafia Potent wouldn't be very likely to make that late vote switch, but I also take that with a grain of salt since your initial vote was a simple page 1 retaliation vote.
If I've played this game right for the last four years on this website, nobody has any idea what mafia Potent would do, or town Potent would do for that matter, and that includes me. Except for voting for my mafia teammates, mafia Potent always does that.
I wasn't attributing that to you specifically actually. In general, mafia is statistically less likely to change a vote "late" in a round.
Ok that makes sense. Just wasn't sure what chatter would be helpful and what wouldn't.
In that case, I'll offer my perspective on Kanye's most recent vote. I think Kanye switched early for the same reason that he's always the person to tag the next drafters and try to wake people up during our Infinity Draft over the summer and our current Bonnaroo Draft. He is impatient, always online and wants to move things along. Pretty on brand for him.
As to the part I bolded: That's the crux of the game. What's important? What's not? I need to ask myself what you were thinking when you made this post. We're you truly asking, or are you just trying to blend in? And if I jump down your throat about what you just said or nitpick how you phrased it, there's a good chance I'll be wrong. There's also a good chance I'll jump down your throat just to see how you react. That's the part of the game the burns some people and makes them hate it.
Why is Tainted so quiet? Was there anything behind the fact that Thor checked in late? This early in the game, these things are usually not worth focusing on, but take note.
Veterans always excuse new guy "mistakes" for being rookies, but a new guy as a part of team mafia can easily be coached or unassisted in Mafia chat to still seem like a new guy.
I decided I was going to vote for who my gut said to vote for after a reread of the two in question, whether it meant tying it up or pushing someone ahead. If I got one vibe from rereading them both, it's that Maddog is not the inspector. (YOU BETTER NOT BE INSPECTOR, PUNK!)
I'm available, but I'm not trying to mini pupate the situation or state things that could eventually be misconstrued or worse by mafia. At this point its a shit show. I'm not inspector, I'm not mafia. Jim doesn't likely seem inspector, so from my limited point of view the first final runoff could potentially be townie v townie. To all the newer folks, think of this game like chess: study what everyone else is doing prior to making any action, and appreciate that when you cut the corners people tend to get sticky. When we change votes at or near the end of a runoff, it sends red flags in a variety of directions. Mafia can use it against you by posing as town, town can use it against you acting as logical town, and the people that you vote switch to and from can feel or be mini putated by the rest of the actors. It's crazy to think all that comes from a simple vote switch, but it does - and that's a good thing early on in the game actually. There is only one townie who knows the identity of one mafia, and they are getting an opportunity to watch them react and respond to these moves. To me, that creates an opportunity for town assuming it is unspoiled. While it certainly can create its own waves, if town focuses and sifts through the BS that gets tossed around in the wake of a volatile move like that, it will have a lot easier time spotting mafia making moves.
Doh. I so meant to use mini pupate in my post! I even ctrl-Ced it from the last page. In related news. I don't have a read on you one way or the other.
I'm trying to figure out why you keep saying "I'm town I'm town I'm town". It seems a little out of character for you. I suspect it's because you didn't really sign up for this game, you just kinda got tossed in so you're like, "Fuck it, I'm screwing around in this one."
I don't think either of of the guys in the runoff are mafia and I don't think they're not.

It still rubs me weird how defensive potent got so here's a way too hard look into it.
If maddog was mafia then I can see why JR was whacked.
Thor and dalven both went against maddog and Thor made a connection with potent.
However Thor already has one missed vote and isn't active anyway so it would make no sense to whack him and would way too obviously point towards potent.
Tl;dr the whack points to maddog, the only people that truly voted against maddog were Thor and JR. it doesn't make sense to whack Thor because he isn't active and could very easily miss another vote and be insta lynched anyway.
Conclusion: this whack leads me to a 1 for 1 decision by mafia, hoping for a 2 for 1 if Thor misses another vote.
You automatically think it is a frame? I'm not saying you are wrong because I don't know but I wouldn't discount it that quickly. Often townies discount the obvious because they overthink stuff. look at your first game with Pablo.
I see it touching on you, JTR, Jake, Tainted, Jaz, Maddog, and me if I'm remembering correctly from half hour or so ago. Poss 1 or 2 more I'm forgetting.
Read nothing into the order I listed those names. I only listed you first because we are conversing.
Nah I was just saying the whack points more that way since dalven was really the only one that had a legitimate reason for voting for maddog and also was really the only one to specifically say he was mafia
I'm pretty close to finalizing where I stand after the whack, but can you show me where this happened? I feel so dumb for rereading to find where JR specifically called maddog mafia and not being able to locate it.

He said I don't think you're mafia but I also don't think you're town
Then Thor said something about only mafia would need to be playing risky in regards to potent
I’m just weirded out by potent switching off/trying to save Maddog earlier in the game “to shake things up” or whatever. And then potent decides to vote for tainted instead of Maddog in the final runoff for no reason. I’m not saying potent/Maddog are def mafia but it’s the most fishy thing I smell after reading the entire thread. If potent was town idk why he’d have a such a seemingly vested interest in keeping Maddog alive, because he wouldn’t know maddog’s role. Plus, if potent was town, I’d think he’d want to cover himself from this kind of suspicion by voting Maddog in the final round. Seems potent is willing to take hat risk, and only mafia scum need to play risky in this game.

Catching up now. First thought is that Kanye’s theory makes a decent bit of sense because JR was critical of mad dog who was saved by potent. On the other hand JR answering for me when I brought up the “new player” argument definitely stuck with me during day 1 - which I feel implicates Kanye. Going to look at the splits then decide where my vote will land.

Honestly if I'm right I'll probably be whacked anyway

I took that JR post to mean he's not saying anything in either direction.
And why are you putting so much stock into Thors post? Just because he's typically good at this game? Or would he for some reason have more information than you or the rest of us?

He's just the only other person that went against maddog so I'm reading into it. Also him not being whacked helps mafia
So Kanye, potent, and mad dog were all voting for tainted at the end of the day - so I didn’t get much help from the splits. However, I do think it’s fair to assume there’s at least one mafia between the three. Going to vote mad dog for now just to even up the runoff with those three. I may switch depending on what others do/what vibe I’m getting.

Dan > mad dog
Maddog was voted off
And this my friends is why we don’t mafia hungover.
JR answering for me is tipping the scales for me rn. I always raise an eye brow when players do that because it’s an easy thing to do when someone wants to control the narrative (ie inspector dropping hints or mafia spinning against someone).

Yeah but you originally voted for maddog and the only person that has ties to maddog is potent. Who also if you're voting for me you'd be stacking with

My original vote was to even out the runoff so everyone who was implicated in the whack had 1 vote.

Im sorry. I thought you were using Thors post as some kind of evidence to justify your vote against potent. Misunderstood you.
You switching off potent at the start of round 2 was something I brushed off and believed was just a mistake based on your impatience that Ive seen elsewhere on inforoo. You then said you hoped not to be framed because of it, which is a natural response I suppose.
Now you and potent have this immediate squabble right out of the gate on day 2 and it almost makes me think you are trying to make up for that day 1 blunder by distancing yourself from him. This whole kanye / potent thing at worst smells of mafia and at best was just a totally unnecessary distraction to the town.
I still believe the second of those two options for now, but could you comment on it?

The squabble was just a misunderstanding because I misread jr as jimmyroo and he kept attacking me for no reason instead of helping me

Why does JR answering for you tip the scales to any of us? I'm not following.

Also a good question. I'm assuming he's reading the whack on jr as JR being inspector. Thus he thinks jr was hinting I was mafia?? Also I guess I'm making the same mistake I did on day one by answering for someone else but I just want answers
