JR answering for me is tipping the scales for me rn. I always raise an eye brow when players do that because it’s an easy thing to do when someone wants to control the narrative (ie inspector dropping hints or mafia spinning against someone).
Why does JR answering for you tip the scales to any of us? I'm not following.
JR didn’t have to answer for me when it came to new mafia hiding under the guise of being a new player. It was something I easily could have answered myself. It could be an inspector dropping hints about Kanye who had just used the excuse.

Also a good question. I'm assuming he's reading the whack on jr as JR being inspector. Thus he thinks jr was hinting I was mafia?? Also I guess I'm making the same mistake I did on day one by answering for someone else but I just want answers

My problem is that you voted for me while citing Thor's last post where he cast a lot of suspicion on me. But, you said it was a mistake and I let it die last night, but you still then don't have a reason for voting for me, or your stated reasoning was faulty.
I'm not sold on you being mafia and I need to do a reread to see why JR would be the whack.

I decided I was going to vote for who my gut said to vote for after a reread of the two in question, whether it meant tying it up or pushing someone ahead. If I got one vibe from rereading them both, it's that Maddog is not the inspector. (YOU BETTER NOT BE INSPECTOR, PUNK!)

Then 1 who was on Maddog. Based on the pattern of votes, Jortles last vote put Maddog in the final runoff, and Tainted was the second person to vote for Maddog on D1 (*before* Maddog voted Tainted), so I think it makes Carini the most likely third. Clearing JTR in the "Maddog was mafia" possibility is that when it was down to a 3 way, Dan voted JTR, then JTR chose to advance Maddog over Tainted.

Idk I mean I feel if youre making an observation that includes speculating that someone is mafia because of who they voted for you shouldn't exclude yourself. Especially since you voted for the same person that you're grabbing votes against from
I'm trying to figure out why you keep saying "I'm town I'm town I'm town". It seems a little out of character for you. I suspect it's because you didn't really sign up for this game, you just kinda got tossed in so you're like, "Fuck it, I'm screwing around in this one."
I don't think either of of the guys in the runoff are mafia and I don't think they're not.
Mainly I'm trying to avoid any kind of situation where I die and people try to imply that I'm mafia to take heat off themselves/their teammates.
Potent asked if we think that we lynched mafia in day 1. The post above looks different in retrospect. Maddog was specifically calling out JR and trying to get him to clear his name on his way out. This leads me to believe that Maddog thought JR was inspector and realized that it could lead to him. This doesnt necessarily mean Maddog was mafia, but its noteworthy.
JRs response was to not tip his hand either way.
Jaz later on that page said he had a theory and that he would rather maddog not be lynched. Id be interested to see if Jaz is willing to expand upon that theory yet.

After my first initial read to catch up this line of thinking is the most compelling argument to me right now. I think there’s a lot of grasping at straws. Right now I’m not convinced by any particular argument though. I’ll do another full read through when I get home from work and vote then.
In light of the whack, I could very well see Maddog being Mafia. Not really inclined to speak on theories of who I thought Inspector was last round, though I'll say that I thought I picked something up in an interaction between two players that seemed to me like an Inspector with knowledge feeling out another player in respect to that knowledge. However if Maddog was Mafia it could be that I interpreted the interaction backwards, or I'm just way off completely. Not putting too much stock in Day 1 interactions. If my guess is right though they probably guessed my name and now know I'm town.
I think it's possible that JR could have been the Inspector, but he also has a tendency to say cagey shit: "You better not be inspector, punk" to Maddog and "I don't think either of these guys are mafia and I don't think they not". Shit like that gets you killed. Could have also been an intentional hand-tip.

If maddog was actually mafia, potent randomly switched off him then didnt vote against him in the final runoff. I hate to do this because potent may have actually just been shaking up day one and now im punishing him for it, but its the best information I have at this point.
Ok that makes sense. Just wasn't sure what chatter would be helpful and what wouldn't.
In that case, I'll offer my perspective on Kanye's most recent vote. I think Kanye switched early for the same reason that he's always the person to tag the next drafters and try to wake people up during our Infinity Draft over the summer and our current Bonnaroo Draft. He is impatient, always online and wants to move things along. Pretty on brand for him.
As to the part I bolded: That's the crux of the game. What's important? What's not? I need to ask myself what you were thinking when you made this post. We're you truly asking, or are you just trying to blend in? And if I jump down your throat about what you just said or nitpick how you phrased it, there's a good chance I'll be wrong. There's also a good chance I'll jump down your throat just to see how you react. That's the part of the game the burns some people and makes them hate it.
Why is Tainted so quiet? Was there anything behind the fact that Thor checked in late? This early in the game, these things are usually not worth focusing on, but take note.

Yes he isn't as obvious as some of the others but I want to put everything out in the open for discussion. I've voted alongside the given name as inspector to try and stay alive longer and I know I'm not the only one.

I am keeping my vote here for now for the additional reason that It also could be they voted for each other as mafia partners and never got a chance to change and we ended up getting lucky with a 2 mafia final runoff. Look at how quick Maddog was in reciprocating Tainted's vote. I voted Maddog right when the game started, he popped into the thread twice and didn't vote until Tainted voted him. Distancing gone bad?
