It's amazing to me how big of a bump some of these acts get when they play Colorado. In Chicago, the Motet play to a crowd of 50 at free neighborhood street festival. In Colorado, Red Rocks.

The Motet also play 2-3 times a year. I don’t understand it.

I'll be heading out to Colorado for my first Red Rocks experience for the Bela Fleck show with some family members. Pretty stoked to mark this venue off my bucket list!
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.
Hitting both night for MMJ. Will be my first time at Red Rocks for my favorite band
Prepare for a religious experience! My first MMJ concert, and first trip to Red Rocks, was August 2016. Three of the finest live music hours of my life.
As noted above, weather can change quickly. Bring a rain poncho- at least a thin cheap plastic one- even if the weather looks fine when you leave for the show. Two nights after MMJ we went back to Red Rocks for Alabama Shakes, and got there real early (my idea) to get the best GA seats. As we waited at the gate, it poured cold rain. With each of the four of us huddled under our ponchos, I spent an hour trying not to look at the other three- I could sense the daggers in my direction... The weather cleared, and all we remember now is what a great show that was, too.

If you live in Colorado you've probably already heard, but they're opening a new venue called the Mission Ballroom. Coming out swinging with some sick shows

I’m really excited to check out the new venue! I absolutely hate The Filmore, so it’ll be nice to have somewhere else that can hold larger acts now.
Just got tickets for Maggie, and I’ll definitely try for The National too.
