So tomorrow is my BD and we are going to a new restaurant. My husband is a meat and taters man and and I like adventure. Take a look at the menu and give me your suggestions please.
I've been obsessed with gochujang lately. I vote that and the tuna crispy rice.
A new Korean place in KC opened and do wings like on that menu. Also had a gochujang sausage bearkfast burrito last weekend at Korean coffee shop. It inspired me to make a gochujang BBQ sauce at work, but probably won't get commercialized any time soon (but I have sample bottles to take home).

That shit rules. You're pretty cultured, but if you haven't tried several of the other Asian fermented pepper sauces, Sambal Oelek, Banana Ketchup (not pepper but still), Tonkatsu (brown fermented vegetables Japanese sauce), Ssamjang, Doubanjiang (spicy bean paste). When I'm back home in Pensacola, I'm going to get the name of that Korean Pepper sauce they use at Brown Bagger Food Truck for sauced chicken wraps. I need that shit. Everyone I know that has tried it no longer goes there for hamburgers or cheeseburgers. Everyone wants grilled chicken wraps with Korean Pepper Sauce. The owner told me that they would make it in house if they could make it better, but they can't.
We got there on time and were seated promptly. We were offered some filtered water and a choice of beverage. I had already perused the menu and knew what I wanted.
We started with the smoked fish dip and crackers. Excellent. The crackers were very spicy.
We followed this with the wood fired edamame. The smokey flavor gave it a nice kick.
Then I got the tuna crispy rice. The fried rice was almost too crunchy. So I ate the tuna, that was delicious, and gave the rice to my husband, who enjoyed it more than I did.
We moved onto the beef dumplings and they were my only disappointment of the night. Too crunchy. I like my dumplings soft and squishy.
After that we shared the burnt ends lettuce wraps. The beef belly was spiced with a honey glaze and just perfect. A big hit with the hubby.
The surprise of the night was the crispy potatoes with hot butter honey. OMG. I wanted to lick the plate. Almost did.
And last, they brought me some Ube ice cream. A purple sweet potato from Asia.

our $40 Gourmia air fryer died last week RIP.
to replace it went with the Instant Pot air fryer as recommended by America's Test Kitchen. just got it yesterday and have only used it to make toast but i like it so far. bigger basket, more intuitive controls, seems like it's gunna be a win.
old news but an air fryer is easily the best kitchen appliance i've ever bought.
I love them but I don’t eat them anymore. I’d take a bite if someone had one with butter or some non mayo sauce. But LT part goes on any sandwiches I make. Avocado when I have that too.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

During tomato season, I could eat one every single day.
Nice bread lightly toasted, mayo with some Calabrian chiles mixed in, greens with herbs, bacon from the local smokehouse, and slices of heirloom tomato. Maybe some onion jam or a nice smear of vegemite.
Got reservations for Angelena's in downtown Pensacola tomorrow. It's pretty hard to get reservations to good places there on the weekend unless you get them by Tuesday. Bonelli's was all booked up, and I didn't even try Global Grill. Last two visits got us to Iron, but I wanted to go in a different direction. I've eaten at Angelena's a couple of times before, and it was always great. Chef was the first two-time, two-time Chopped Champion. It's generally an Italian place but Chef learned how to make brick oven pizzas while going to school and working in Birmingham, AL. They do a fresh pasta tasting every day (also paired with wine if you want), but I don't think I'm going that route.
I liked the Diavola pizza last time I was there, so I might get that. Probably won't go heavy entrees so I might get the BBQ Shrimp or short-rib and truffle arancini.

My wife and I are finally getting a date night tomorrow (haven't had one in about 6 months). We are headed to Intero in east austin. Have heard really good things from friends. www.interorestaurant.com/menus
I made homemade hamburger helper lol no fancy here on a weeknight
Which kind?
cobbled together; onions, bell peppers sauteed, ground beef, drained and seasoned with some sazonador, spg, and minced garlic, and mushroom powder, then garden rotini and chicken broth, milk, and a can of cream of chicken. Simmered til al dente then threw in a handful of spinach and some cheddar and a couple slices of American for the creamy.

Google homemade hamburger helper and tell me what comes up. You have to "make" chicken nuggets too, but generally speaking, if someone says "I made homemade chicken nuggets" then you probably can devise that it isn't from a bag.
