I wanna make fun of this ass licking homer but I'm a panthers fan so I'm pretty much fucked here. I look forward to seeing the Aints fail yet again, especially after their incessant bitching caused this PI review shit to be thrown into the mix. Seriously though, fuck Mr shove my religion into public schools and fuck the aints.
LF is a fucking bust. Looks like he gets sniped the moment he feels contact. Let Minshew attempt to finish what he started.
Im actually not mad at the decision to go for it. Absolutely hate the play call.
I have him in fantasy and fully agree. Luckily I don't absolutely need him, but it sucks and I knew better than to use a high pick on him. Fuckin fantasy "experts".
Looks like the NFC South is up for grabs. Brees is reportedly having hand surgery and will miss 6-8 weeks. That would put us pretty much out of contention unless we could go at least .500 during his absence. He could come back and win the last 6 or 7 games and get us into the playoffs, but it doesn't look like we could be seeded any higher than a 4 at this point if that's what happened. It's unfortunate to see the season go down the drain when you know you're a Top 2 NFC team and Top 3-4 NFL team. But that's the way it goes.
Bridgewater is a backup quarterback at best. Mobile qb my ass. He stands in the pocket until he's sacked. Taysom Hill is the future of the team or that future is somewhere else because Bridgewater is washed up.

Bridgewater wasn't very mobile in college iirc. He's definitely not mobile in Madden
Brees will HOPEFULLY be back after the week 9 bye, just in time for four straight divisional games. I think to stay competitive, the Saints will need to go.500 (like esteban said) during the next six games. That'll have them out of the bye at 4-4 with 5 out of 8 remaining games in the division. THankfully, the NFC South is kinda garbage. We will see how this all plays out.
Quarterback issues aside, we went from having a stellar offensive line on MNF to being absolutely terrible yesterday. So many penalties, so little protection, almost no holes for the run game. The D couldn't tackle for shit. Jared Cook can't catch for shit. Sure, we had a scoop and score taken away by another ref error, but that didn't lose the game either. Saints have to play better in all areas to win these next weeks.
It's going to be tough to beat Seattle or Dallas. No question about it. I wanted 2-2 out of the first 4 games - except that was with Brees in the equation. It's likely 1-3 now. To your other points, what the Rams did on defense gets completely burned with the right counters. Brees is elite against the blitz at finding the open guy. Teddy has a much harder throw than Brees and has been known to get the ball out quickly when he has someone open to throw to. But when the WR's are covered for 3-4 seconds and you have 5/6/7 guys coming, you're going to get sacked, hit and/or hurried while thinking about what it is you want to do. They dared him to beat them by repeatedly stacking the line to stop the run and attack with multiple fronts.

I think the point they made during the broadcast was that Bridgewater is more mobile than Brees, but that's not saying too much. Brees isn't a statue, but he's not going to kill anyone with his feet.

I would say he's Big Ben mobile
For funsies, I looked it up. He had 170 yards rushing total for his three years at Louisville with a whopping 0.8 ypc.
It initially looked like Dobbs getting traded to Jacksonville presented a great opportunity for him, but now it looks like the opportunity may have been better in Pittsburgh.
