I feel like you have to laugh at the non-pass interference call in the endzone a play or two before the final play of the game. Nothing like inadvertently fucking over the Saints with a non-PI call. I don't think Coach Pete Carroll could have challenged because he didn't have any timeouts left. However, that's irrelevant, because it was within the final 2 minutes of the game which is supposed to be a booth review. Shit goes haywire and the 49ers escape with a bye throughout the playoffs. This ripples through a bunch of other teams too - Seattle (had they scored and won) would have been the #3 and hosted a game next week instead of having to travel to Philadelphia. Saints would have gotten a bye-week and then hosted the highest remaining seed (presumably would have been #3 Seattle) after wildcard weekend and would then only have to go on the road for the NFC Championship if Green Bay would have won its divisional round game. Instead, we host the Vikings. If we win, we go to Green Bay. If we win that, we possibly go to San Francisco or possibly host a game here depending on who is left standing for the NFC championship. It's a tougher path and one that hasn't been successful in the last 6 seasons. I'm sure no one wants to play us, and we'll be ready. But we definitely lost along with Seattle last night. Seattle fans weren't buying the NFL's bullshit release on the non-call.

carson wentz is the first 4000 yard passer in team history, didn't have a single WR with over 500 yards, and is the first QB in NFL history with over 20 TDs and fewer than 7 INTs in 3 consecutive seasons.
They put the AFC on Saturday and NFC on Sunday. If I'm not wrong, this is the first time since I've been watching football that they didn't split leagues per day. I don't like this at all. Probably means the same for the divisional weekend. And seems an implicit admission that the AFC sucks.
I think that the NFC has like a 2 game edge, 33-31.
And you remember how the Patriots went to KC last year and won in Arrowhead? I'm hoping there's a repeat of it. It's a matter of time before Reid and Co. remember it's January and shit the bed.
