Is it possible we get some solid additions this year? That Mastodon and Coheed And Cambria tour made me really bummed neither one is playing. Would love to see both get added for Sunday. Is it possible?

if they played sunday it would be four days of shows in a row. even if they did I don't think there is room in the sunday schedule for two midsize acts. so no, not possible.

We might get a handful of additions to the lineup(stage/tent acts). Maybe 2-5 tops. For the most part the additions will be for the club stages and plazas, wouldn’t expect anything to major.

Someone is probably gonna cancel so I think the only noticeable addition we could get is gonna be a replacement. Cafe acts might be alright since AC is good at that stuff but I don’t think we got any noteworthy adds last year. I know we got Skepta in 2017.
still confused that Roo missed on both Mitski & Vince given their tour schedules.
I feel like JPEG could pass as a club stage act. U.S. Girls possibly too (prolly not tho). In general, up until last year, every year had some solid additions. Kacey Musgraves & D’Angelo in 2015, Warpaint & Skepta 2017. Bob Moses 2016. Last year’s lack was discouraging tho.

2019 Shows: 4/30 - Vampire Weekend 6/28 - Father John Misty & Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit 9/6 - Cardi B w/ Teyana Taylor 9/28 - Vulfpeck w/ The Fearless Flyers

JPEGMAFIA on the Who Stage would be chaos and I would fully support it

That would be a total clusterf. He's too big for that though imo.
Since 2013, 14 and 18 were the only two years we didn't get a significant addition.
We got significant additions in 2011 and 2012 too. NoFX among others in 2011, and then 2012 was probably the biggest year for additions. Kenny Rogers, Rodrigo y Gabriel, Danzig, Puscifer, The Temper Trap, fun., Santigold, Sharon Jones, GZA, and of course Unchained were all added later.
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.

I mean, how big is he really? There is some precedence for them booking artists that turned out to be too big for the stage. Dreamers opened the Who stage last year despite having a couple very popular songs (didn't attend, but I'd figure that was overpacked). Raury on Thursday evening 2015 had a massive crowd. Kaleo played Who on Saturday (I think?) in 2015 despite already having a single that had blown up - though its worth noting that there was legit less than 50 people at that one (though that might have been because it was early on a hot day).

I think he's more popular than a lot of the bands already playing Thursday. If he was already booked he'd probably be second line (just underneath Grand Ole Opry)
I dont think theres any way we get JPEG as a club act while Jack Harlow and Little Simz play the big boy stages.
I view him in a similar light as Denzel Curry at this point last year. His set would be a packed to the brim Friday moshpit tent.
The first part of your comment makes a lot of sense. But also, I'm not saying it would make sense as much as I'm saying there's a history of them making similar moves. Take 2015 for instance again. Even back at that point, X Ambassadors had already gained significantly more traction than another indie pop/rock band, Priory. But X Ambassadors played a night Who set (opposing MMJ/Gambino) on the same day that Priory opened a Tent (I just went back and looked at the schedule FYI). I could similarly see JPEGMAFIA being a top line club stage act and then opposing, for instance, Hozier or The National on the Who, whereas Little Simz will probably open up a tent that day. Also, worth noting, I really only think Jack Harlow isn't a club stage act because he's already played the Who in the past.
I also don't personally think JPEG's near as big as Denzel was last year. I don't think he has anything as big as "Ultimate", let alone some of Denzel's lesser known tracks. But maybe I'm wrong.

Well I hope you're right.
worth saying a JPEG addition is still very much just a hope rather than something I see as likely lol. Basically just saying that if he were to be added, it could very well be as part of the club announcement.

It's probably anecdotal, but... I know a decent chunk of people who are Denzel Curry fans and my guess is that their name ID on JPEGMAFIA would be fairly low. He's doing really well in online music communities but idk how that translates to the "average" person

2015 Kacey Musgraves and D'Angelo was awesome 2012 had the best addition list though - Danzig, Puscifer, Fun., Santigold and a few others. Lost my mind when I saw I was getting Maynard back on the farm.
I don't have any expectations for additions this year, but if we could steal something off Governor's Ball like Mitski, Blood Orange or Parcels, that would be neat.

2012 is what made me make this thread. I went from little to no interest in going to Must Go when Puscifer got added.
There was a split second just now where I thought we might get a legitimately big addition. Empire of the Sun announced a WOAD anniversary tour in June, with a Dallas date June 11th followed by a 3-day gap. But the other end of the gap is Denver, and I don't think its particularly plausible they play Friday in TN then Saturday in CO.

Best addition of the last decade imo. Would love for lightning to strike twice.
