We usually start this thread later, but I think it would be a good catch all for talking about cool shows we saw this year as we see them. I also plan to rank shows as I see them to make it easier to keep track of for myself because my show calendar is looking pretty heavy this year.
I just saw Sharon Van Etten on Monday night and she was great. I haven't even had a chance to completely dive into her music, but her live show blew me away.
Some shows I've seen this year that were all great so far: Sharon Van Etten Olafur Arnalds Recondite
We saw our first show of the year last night. I'm With Her was pretty much flawless. We had seen them all before so no surprise that they were amazing together. That might be the most talented group of women I've ever seen on stage together.

Up until this week, hadn't seen shit. But All Them Witches was great on Tuesday, and I've got Vince Staples/Metallica on Friday/Saturday. Jenny Lewis at the end of the month and Claypool Lennon Delirium on 4/20.
I saw Miya Folick play with Barrie a couple weeks ago and it was extremely fun. My most anticipated set of the year so far is Jungle (aw yeah, again and again) tomorrow night tho.
Seconded on being stoked about concert season being here.
Detroit Love was awesome the other day, I enjoyed Moodymann more but Carl Craig also killed it. Saw Daughters on Tuesday with no real expectations because I’m not even sure if I really like their music and they blew me away. The frontman was mesmerizing. Only bad thing about these kinda shows is I feel like the openers are always garbage.
Pixies/Weezer tour opener in Louisville was solid for both groups. Finally got to see one of my favorite Weezer songs "The World Has Turned and Left Me Here" live after 8 times seeing them going back to 2001. The other 2 shows I have caught so far this year, Deerhunter and Mitski were also both really enjoyable. Tonight I am headed to Columbus to see Nick Mason's Saucerful of Secrets and crazy-excited for that one!

Saucer is probably the best show I've seen so far this year.
Recording from last night's Nick Mason show has been posted on dimeadozen. Didn't enjoy the opener at all but was quickly forgotten once Saucerful of Secrets came on and did their thing. It was a wholly different experience to the times I have seen Roger Waters but still very captivating. Much more centered around the sounds instead of visuals. I imagine experiencing a Pink Floyd show would have been the complete package but nice to have both sides in my arsenal now to appreciate what they did even more. My major disappointment was when my 3 hour late drive home afterwards turned into a 5 hour odyssey after having a tire blowout from driving over a screw in the construction 30 minutes south down I-71. Made it home safely though after 150 miles on a donut spare with flashers on going 45 mph.

I saw Lea Bertucci for like 10 mins but I don't think that really counts, sad she quit earlier than she was supposed to play.
Yesterday I saw Ibibio Sound Machine, David August, Gold Panda, Hot Chip, Chemical Brothers and parts of spiritualized and Danny Brown. It was a good day.

Did Danny play any new songs? Sounds like a fucking awesome day

I left early but my friends that I watched his whole set said he played new songs at the end and that they were good.
