just got an email that the schedule dropped. hadn't looked at this lineup in a while and headliner wise i'd be happy to see post malone, halsey, and tame impala (and megan) at the same festival.
but there isn't enough going on in the undercard. convinced Still Woozy isn't a real band. i don't know what they are but i'm guessing some sort of insurance music scheme.

I could make a really strong set streak out of Sunday. If only they ever sold solos, but suppose they don't need to with the stronghold on their demo.
It wouldn't be strong for me based on the schedule, but I'd go see Tame Impala, Megan, Wreckno and Flipturn. Friday has nothing for me at all though Lady Lavender isn't terrible. Saturday I'd see Moon Taxi, Flo Milli and Doja Cat. I feel like the lineups have gotten worse each year since we stopped going, but I don't think in retrospec the others were quite this bad except 2019.

We've gotta figure out a way to put a stop to this. It seems to just be getting worse with each big event. Was it bad at Coachella this year? I know Shaky got hit pretty hard but I'm wondering if it's just a southern thing. Seems like it's been going on since the pandemic but could have been a thing before, I just don't know.

definitely think it’s been a long running issue even before the pandemic
i can’t remember if it was before or after the start of the pandemic, but i know people caught one of the thieves at one festival, tackled them, held them there until the police got there, and found tonssssss of phones in their bags all wrapped in aluminum foil to block the signal
made me smile seeing everyone able to get their stuff back lol

no this was a huge thing at gov ball 2021 as well. i was unfortunately a victim. most important thing is to just stay vigilant and immediately call out the pickpocketer if you can. also ofc use an under clothes wallet and if you can do what browell mentioned and keep your phone in a fanny pack across your chest

Yeah, Coachella wasnt nearly as bad as it has been in the past. I think so many people saw how stupid it was last year with the thefts and finally got more aware about it. I had heard one person in lost and found talking about some dude who got caught with about 20 phones. It mainly happens in Sahara anyway cause so many people are squished together and they dont notice it happen.

Definitely has been a issue at Lolla some years. I remember reading about hundreds of phones being stolen at Lil Wayne's set a few years ago

It happened at the Project Glow festival in DC a few weeks back. A friend of mine had hers stolen. It’s happening everywhere.
