Fake Viral Photo Of Beto O’Rourke Wetting Himself Is Actually (Sandy) Alex G After Spilling Beer
Certain conservative circles have been circulating a photo online that they purport to be Democratic presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke wetting himself at a party when he was younger. A few of them have even referred to the person in the photo as “Mr. Pissy Pants” or, less respectfully, simply “pissy pants.” The photo that is being spread around is not of O’Rourke, though, and is actually of the Philadelphia rock musician Alex Giannascoli, better known as (Sandy) Alex G.
Factcheck.org got in touch with Giannascoli to confirm the photo was of him, and he explains that it was taken backstage at a show in New York City in summer 2017. “I spilled a beer on my pants,” Giannascoli said. “I was joking around. It obviously isn’t that funny anymore.”
Still, Giannascoli seems to be embracing the absurdity of the situation, even posting one of the memes created out of the photo to his Instagram page that declares “I’M BETO ROBERT FRANCIS O’ROURKE I’M HERE FOR YOUR GUNS.”
While (Sandy) Alex G neither pissed himself at party nor is he a presidential candidate, he did just release a great new album, House Of Sugar, which you can listen to and read all about here. Maybe O’Rourke can adopt Alex G as one of his new walkout songs.

Betsy DeVos was in Harrisburg today at Harrisburg Catholic Elementary. I happened to be walking to work when she passed by, so I stopped to snap a pic. Before she showed up, PA Speaker of the House Mike Turzai explained to two public school teachers why they were at a private school. This guy wants to be the next governor of Pennsylvania. He is a complete jagoff.
The Denver climate change march is pretty crazy. I’m at work but the entire street outside has been full of people marching for like 45 minutes. Tons of kids out marching for change. It made me feel pretty good.

This is why twitter and Facebook are poison to society. Internet trolls become real life trolls and next thing you know they have an equal platform as doctorates do, but only to spread disinformation.
Back in my hometown in Connecticut, the town Republican Party is having a meet and greet with free coffee and donuts this morning. It's at the "Transfer Station", better known as the town dump.
Such a fitting place to find such a trash political party and adherents of trash ideology.

Kennedy challenging Markey for the senate seat here makes no sense. I liked Kennedy for about 5 seconds years ago then realized he's a centrist who is afraid of pot. Markey is actually a progressive(or at least more progressive than Kennedy), so what's Kennedy's angle here?

Hard to not be cynical and think he wants a more powerful voice in future climate legislation. Granted he'd be losing a committee seat in the House.
What he didn’t mention, however, was his significant personal investment in the oil and gas industry. According to a Sludge review of congressional financial disclosure documents, Kennedy owns between $963,000 and $2,195,000 worth of stock in companies in the oil and gas industry, such as Chevron, Exxon, and NextEra Energy. Most of Kennedy’s stock is contained in inherited family trusts.
I just come across the woman challenging him for his House seat... which he apparently won't be running for anymore. Sooooo maybe he just helped progressives win another seat. Good work, Joe!

The last couple months I've been having increasingly severe pangs of depression brought on by certain truths. There is no hope of electoral change that will stop the climate crisis in any timely manner. It's just true. Hell, it's true for a lot of issues really. The best we can hope for are technocratic half-measures.
I know this isn't much different from what I've said before. Just a reminder that it's best for people to except it now and not be soothed into complacency. The climate strike on Friday is just the beginning of what it's going to take.

This segment aligns pretty well with what my gut tells me will happen. Nominate Warren and lose to Trump after being memed into oblivion. Hope I'm wrong of course.

Every day there are stronger arguments to just move to Europe, any country where one could get a hang of the language, and never look back on the United States. The biggest argument against this is family, which is really the only reason why I havent at this point
