The media is failing us and they keep propping up Trump and fellating the GOP. For no good reason. This new tone/softer Trump bullshit is so transparent
Visited NC recently, driving around the eastern part of the state a lot. Happy to report I only saw 1 Trump sign. In 2016, they were all over the fucking place out there.

We moved to our neighborhood in April 2022. I’m not sure exactly when they started going up, but there were tons of lawn signs that year. It was probably 70/30 Republican/Democrat. So far, the only lawn signs I’ve seen here have been for a county commissioner. I imagine that will change some as the election gets closer, but I sure hope not.

This interests me simply because I tend to be on the same side as AOC and Bernie on most issues when it comes down to it.
Now personally, I'm not really fully throated supporting drop out .vs. stay in because no matter what...I'm voting for the Dem nominee. So to me it ultimately doesn't matter right this moment. I do believe that Biden has been looking bad and had more than. A few gaffes or poor performances or whatever. But I really don't know enough to say one way or the other what the best move is. I do believe AOC was saying something like how the big money donors pulling strings will be controlling who gets picked so that's why it may not be as simple as Harris steps up. But either way, it's been intriguing to see these two backing Biden completely at this point

Pretty much all of the most progressive members of congress have stuck to supporting Biden. Makes sense to me; let the centrists fight it out instead of the progressives being blamed for the outcome. And Biden pushed through a bunch of policy they have been aching for, even if it didn't go as far as they might like. If they contributed to calls for him to drop out they'd be seen as uniquely divisive, and instead now whatever the outcome, they won't be disregarded for that reason.
Plus: young progressive turnout is going to be crucial this election. If Biden doesn't drop out, and Bernie/AOC/others had spent a month basically telling those progressives that he's not up to the job, it would be a very, very bad outcome.

This has been my experience as well. I drove from Cincinnati to Hilton Head (via Asheville) and back a couple weeks ago and saw only one Trump sign. I spent last weekend in eastern rural Ohio and also saw only one Trump sign. It may be early still, but I really feel like the signs were up by now in the last two election cycles.

Yea, this is the smart and tactical move by progressives. They’ve been continually labeled as the divisive group within the democrat party, constantly blamed and like Bernie in 2016, pushed to the side by the elites and establishment.
Now people are actually seeing the elites and establishment actively trying to push for their preferred candidates and work around the voters.
Progressives are rightly showing the are the only adults in the room that are capable of governing.

The voters already voted. They're just doing the will of people who still answer their landline.
Do you think Biden should be the nominee?
That's not really relevant. Primaries already took place, and he won them all. I want the nominee to be the person most likely to win in the general election. I'm not certain that that person is not Joe Biden.
