Personally, I'm just going to sell everything and go. Luckily I can bartend very well and it's a life skill or something.
Worry about the rest once all my shit is sold and I have the resources to go.

I encourage it, not just because these are scary times here in the U.S., but because living abroad was the most rewarding experience of my life and gave me real perspective of life and growth in a way nothing else could.
The times we are living in and the elongated visa process to move to the states for non-americans is starting to give my wife cold feet about moving here, and I have been considering a move back to Korea. Really wanted to do bonnaroo this year but am gonna use my vacation time to visit Korea again while we still wait for our application to be reviewed. We knew it would take a long time but not this long. It's been 11 months now.

To answer this part, this is the process I took and many people take.
First figure out where it is you want to go, generally speaking like continent. Latin america? Europe? Asia? I chose Asia because I wanted something wildly different than the U.S. because I was young and seeking adventure.
Then, figure out what you can realistically do for work there. My degree was in English hence why I chose ESL teaching as my path, but you can have a degree in anything to be considered for like 90% of ESL jobs as long as you don't have a criminal record.
Lots of countries have been doing digital nomad visas and giving you 6 month stays if you can provide proof you can work remotely. Indonesia, Croatia, and Estonia do this and I know many others are.
Australia and New Zealand do working holiday visas where you can stay for a year but have to work in sort of blue collar jobs along the way like farms and factories.
Third, once you figure out steps 1 and 2, check reddit and youtube for resources on people who've done it before. How to look for good opportunities vs scams and such.
Get docs ready for visas. Usually requires notarized and/or apostilled copies of college degree (if work visa requires it) and FBI background check. Again this is for work visas which usually tie into residency visas.
Fifth, have an open mind and be prepared for culture shock. And download duolingo and start practicing.
Side note: Another reason Asia attracted me was because of how many places of employment in these countries will interview you and hire you through zoom and skype interviews and get your stuff all legally ready to go before you even fly. So there is less risk than with flying over on a tourist visa and not being able to find anything. Not to mention it is also illegal in many countries to look for work while on a tourist visa.
The sad truth is if things really did go south with the next presidency, it'd be much easier for me to assimilate than to try to leave. My demographic would not be under any type of attack. Unless, of course, there's some serious version of a civil war that occurs. I've lived in the South my entire life. Whatever reality y'all are afraid might occur if the wrong person goes into power has been my reality for most of my lifetime.
This is not me saying one way or the other what I'd actually do if something fucked up happens in 2024, I'm just being truthful about my privilege.

But I'm very worried about what republicans will do when they lose again. The phrase "Civil war" sounds dramatic but I really think Florida and Texas going rogue and just no longer acknowledging the legitimacy of the federal government is not off the table which would lead to violent confrontation I'm sure.

Well when Desantis loses and steps up his attacks on the LGBTQ Floridians and the democrats don't (and can't cause of the supreme court) try to stop them, it will be bleak as fuck and probably will end in bloodshed.

Yeah, but he never should have negotiated to begin with. He had the ability to declare the 14th Amendment, but he doesn't give a shit about working people. For Dems: realistically I guess maybe the governors of Minnesota or Michigan? But both of them are still corporate as fuck. Unrealistically AOC and Maxwell Frost.
