I'm not a fan of Biden and he deserves criticism now more than ever but starting your argument with "Never deliver on any campaign promises" really makes me not take you seriously as at all.
Edit: The Zane guy. Not you itrain.

Reposting something that says that is basically the same as saying it at all.

So I guess this is the new right wing strategy, just buy up all the "liberal media". Conservatives never cared about freedom of speech or what kids had access to on the internet. It was always about controlling the narrative and conditioning.

Oh, it's nothing new. They've been doing this for decades with Sinclair buying up local news stations in order to broadcast right wing propaganda.

It's the plan to buy it up and shit it up. Twitter, buzzfeed, sinclair, hell the local news kansascity.com is just a ton of clicks bait and national stories these days. No local journalism
Didn't buzzfeed kill off their news division a while ago though? Is the plan to just funnel low effort right wing meme lists to the masses? Also genuinely surprising that it is still worth over 100 million.

Yep, it’s been a multi-pronged attack. Sinclair et al gutting local news. Local newspapers have closed and consolidated and are typically barely printing (ie Gannett, News Corp, etc.)
Record labels are essentially 3 mega companies. Radio is basically 5 companies. Movies / TV is basically 6 companies.
We can largely thank the Telecommunications of 1996 that gave the FCC the ability to remove nearly all restrictions on media ownership which largely happened under Bush from 2002-2007.

Yeah, I don't agree that he never delivered on things but I do think we've seen a lot of compromise or broken promises instead of "I will do this" and then it happening. I also believe in allowing for a little bit of hyperbole so while this person is saying "never deliver on promises" I think it's just taking a bit more of an exaggerated view to highlight the point. Do I think the person who wrote the tweet honestly believes that there are 0.0 things that Biden's campaign said they'd do and then didn't deliver? No.
But my feeling was really for the 80% of the rest of the tweet which I do think is relevant to discussion. Posting a tweet here doesn't mean "I 100% believe and support what this tweet says". It was more about how the Democrats who are supposedly so worried about the election should be looking at themselves and how they're currently running things instead of just acting confused about why people are upset.
I'm very very critical of all the "Vote Biden or else bad things will happen" as a strategy when we're already seeing these bad things happen under Biden. Do I think they will be worse under Trump? Sure. I plan to vote for Biden despite it not really mattering here. But all the "why are voters not just completely falling in line behind Joe" panic is silly when we know why it's happening.

From your past posts in here I assumed you didn’t totally agree with 100% of the tweet. That’s why I pointed out I was attacking the tweeter, and those like him, and not you. It was the people that decided that I had to feud with you. That said, I’m just really over the “Biden hasn’t done anything or kept any of his promises” crowd. There are so many valid critiques of Biden. I think we should make them. That one is so disingenuous that tells me I can’t have a serious conversation with that person.

Yeah, the clarification in my post was for Braun lol. Posting a tweet isn't always the same as fully supporting the tweet. If I post something RFK Jr. Shares on social media because I think it's relevant to the discussion then I'll do that but doesn't mean I support it.
And yeah, I'm fine ignoring the "he didn't keep promises" crowd because right now I'm really annoyed at the "well these American citizens and would-be voters are voicing their clear opposition to what you are doing" and the Democrats response hasn't even been "oh, we hear you and will look into it." Now the response seems to be "well if they may not hurt us in the election in November than who gives a shit what they think?". And that's the side of things I'm really not happy about.
So many people are arguing that voters need to just get in line behind Biden while doing absolutely nothing to win those voters over besides fear mongering and guilt tripping.
In the last decade I've seen the Republicans achieve their goals and Democrats squander opportunities left and right.
I'd like to see the Biden administration trying to at least faithfully engage in the criticisms but they're not. According the establishment it sounds like Russia or China or tiktok that are causing those people to be mad about Genocide or abortion rights or birth control/IVF, or the stacked supreme court that continually erodes our way of life.
It's gotten to the point where they seem to not care to do much besides continue the status quo, not rock the boat, and just point at Trump as the big bad so you should support them no matter what.
Biden and the Dems have been shooting themselves in the foot over and over and continually act surprised and like they have no responsibility in the people starting to feel hopeless.
When Trump wins (through votes or stealing it) then everyone is just going to blame the extreme left for not falling in line just like they blamed Bernie Bros for 2016. Instead of maybe looking at the candidate and what they're NOT doing it's easier to just blame others and just restart the "we need to win in 2028 to save democracy" emails.

The SCOTUS is so corrupt and fucked up. And yet we will hear that if Trump gets elected he will make it worse. Would be nice if the Dems and Biden would take a stronger approach than just writing a letter hoping they'll do the honorable thing and then telling us we need to vote in November so that Biden can actually do something about it.

I found that tweet hyperbolic enough that while you may not have literally meant it, figuratively it felt close enough.
Maybe today's the day I post my 30+ item list of good shit Biden's done. Was more inclined to save it til closer to the election so everyone doesn't forget everything in the meantime as they seem to have forgotten over the last couple of years.

Again...I'm voting for Biden. I'd guess majority of people here are voting for Biden. No one here really wants Trump or would say he literally kept 0 promises or whatever .
Ignore the first line of the tweet. Let's pretend, for discussions sake, it's just the second line down.
What is your opinion about that?
The point of the tweet and me posting it isn't about Bidens campaign promises and solely focusing on that part of it is overlooking the actual meaning of the tweet. Don't get distracted by what is actually being said there. It's about the current issue of the Democrats not understanding how much they're damaging themselves and why people are upset. Literally telling portions of your voter base to fuck off because they are critical of genocide or angry at LGBTQ and Women's rights being stripped away is asinine. Placing the blame on radical leftists or foreign operators while also allowing police to beat down peaceful protestors nationwide is certainly a choice for trying to convince us your on our side.

I mean 40% of the tweet is saying he's done nothing and kept no promises; hard to ignore that. I agree tremendously about his Gaza policy; it's infuriating (though I'd take exception, at least over the last two months, to "kissing Netanyahu's feet," an unnecessarily hyperbolic statement on par with the rest of the hyperbolic tweet, even if Biden's still been too chickenshit to do anything meaningful about Gaza). The Dark Brandon memes line is just weird, I haven't seen him lean into that really since the Super Bowl.
Criticize the Gaza policy, the response to the protests, absolutely. But people lose me when they tweet shit like that (not lose me as someone upset about Gaza, but lose me as someone who respects the person who tweeted it), and I frankly find it to at least somewhat explain why Biden has given so few shits about leftists and students on Gaza. He passed a ton of extremely progressive policy that leftists have begged for for decades and got nothing but shit from them in return. Why would he care to appease them now? When you push for policies, get those policies, and then continue to punish the politician who gave you those policies (again: pre-Gaza), why would that or any politician listen to you?
Minnesota had another successful legislative session in year 2 of the DFLs full control over the legislature. It’s amazing what happens when you elect young progressive politicians.
