They must be so overjoyed that the Senate is 50-50, so they can keep blaming the Republicans for everything when it's really their fault for not doing shit.

It's entirely responsible for people to be critical of the president and hold his administration accountable for things. It's still frustrating to see people be so upset at complaining about what is clearly a walking back or toning down of a lot of policy promises used to get elected.
I'm seeing a mix of people saying "he's only been in office so long...give him more time" and also "look at how many things he's already accomplished in such a short time"

"Whenever I'm about to do something, I think, 'Would an idiot someone who wants to fundamentally change the US do that?' And if they would, I do not do that thing."

I mean, I’m glad that he has more time to make right on those and I’ve seen A LOT of kickback on the administration for taking forever to pass the stimmy and the walking back on $15 min, but these things could have happened sooner even with Manchin trying to make America a worse country. It’s frustrating and I hope that they correct course or I don’t see America lasting much longer after this term

In more hopeful news.... people wait outside until the gun shops around here open in the hopes of getting bullets. Demand is so high they cant keep them on the shelves.

So glad I'm already stocked up and not crazy by thinking it's never enough. 🙄

Some of the people i hear talking about this already have hundreds, if not thousands, of rounds of ammo.
And these arn't like crazy militia types. No clue what those guys are up to.
My fiancee's dad gave me a revolver for Christmas a few years ago and I've never had ammo for it, it's still in the box lol
I 100% believe that if you have a gun in the house, then you need to know how to operate that piece of machinery. Clean, shoot, handle and store. If you don't plan on learning those things, then you shouldn't have one. That's how accidents happen. JMO.

I appreciate the concern, but I grew up around guns and am fully aware of how to care for them. I just have no use for it so it stays in the box, disassembled

And that's perfectly fine. I know people that have a gun just because and don't know how to do anything with it or because it makes them "feel safe." Which is fucking terrifying, especially if they try to use it in a real life situation.

I was reading on Wikipedia that 2-2.5B rounds of just the .22 LR cartridge are sold each year. I’m no gun expert, but there’s a lot more options out there so I can only imagine.
When we’ve gone to anarchy in the future, we’ll all probably be buying our shit with crypto and bullets.

"Cancel culture is destroying America" says Bill Maher, the comedian who famously thanked himself for Milo being cancelled.
Also, he looks like such a baby here when Bill Burr won't go along with his "isn't cancel culture/PC culture ruining comedy?" He starts scrambling how to respond.
One of my favorite Bill Burr things is when he's brought onto a show and when the host is trying to guide them into a specific viewpoint or thinks they know how he feels and he figures it out and just blows it up in their face. He's done it a bunch and always makes him feel a bit more "real" for that.

That's the stereotypical prepper round there. Argument is it's cheap and good for small game but could take down a person if it comes to it. It's funny you bring up currency because folks think it will be good for trade too. Preppers imaginations have grown now. Anyway, it's popular because of that rep but also because it's good for practice and easy to store. My dad had those bullets in coffee cans when I was a kid. Just tons of them. It's what I learned to shot with for what little that's worth.
I overheard the other day that a guy I grew up with was selling 500 rounds of .223 on Facebook. For like .75 cents a round or something. Like he was just selling it cause it was sitting around and he could use the money. 500 rounds. lmao

I do think Bill’s last stand up did just feel like him whining about this the entire time though
