I shudder to think of how short his actual time will be. My guess is half.
His mom's statements ENRAGED me, so I can only imagine how much they hurt George Floyd's family and friends. I love my son unconditionally, but if god forbid he did something reprehensible like that I would not be speaking in court on his behalf, let alone proclaiming his innocence. I'd visit and put some money on the books and be full of sadness and guilt forever, but that's it.
I believe MN uses 2/3 time for good behavior on lower level crimes, not sure if that applies to felonies. But in theory, 14-15 years total wouldn’t be shocking when it comes down to it.
I’m about to vote for my County Exec, I’m split between a very progressive candidate that comes across a bit amateurish and a fairly progressive incumbent that has detailed plans for how he wants to move forward. The more progressive one is very vocal about the problems and he aligns very heavily with my beliefs but I have done research on both and his plans don’t seem to be more than sound bytes. The incumbent has been decent, I don’t align completely with him but feel confident enough in his leadership to know most of the time he does the right thing. I’d like your opinions on the matter because I think there are very valid arguments to be made about voting for both and they’re neck and neck in the race
The prog was quoted in the last John Oliver episode. In a positive way too.
This isn't surprising. A breakdown by county would be more interesting/revealing though would still show a similar pattern.
I don’t know how good county by county would be. I’m in MN, and I drove to one of the red counties out of the twin cities metro to get my vaccine. I live in one of the bluest counties. So would my shot count in the red county even though I live in the blue county?

In Texas it’s based on where you live and not where you get jabbed. Guess it probably varies by state.
When a foreign leader gets assassinated, and you can't tell if it's because the US wanted them gone or because the US installed them in power and the locals wanted them gone.
