the US women scored more goals last night than the men have scored in the last 4 world cups combined lmfaooo. Thailand was awful but that was still pretty fun to watch until I started to feel bad lol. Nice to see Lindsey Horan representing Golden and Mallory representing Colorado as well.
But also don’t let last night get you too confident, Thailand is really bad lol. We may be better than most other teams, but the other top teams have definitely closed the gap a lot, it won’t be easy to repeat as champions

Sure. I hope it's not a total wash. We'll have to contend with Sweden in our group, and France is the host country, who are probably our main competitor.

US Women win their group and all three matches within it by defeating Sweden 2-0. Next up is Spain, who are a similar skill level as Sweden. If the US can duplicate this result, they will most likely face France, who are their most stiff competition in the entire tournament.
Here's the knockout bracket: This goal was filthy, but I did think Carli Lloyd was offside and affected the defense. Not sure how VAR failed to determine that, but I can't complain, because going face up on Heath could have happened either way and was simply a bad idea..
Shits dumb as fuck, why are we playing a second place team when we were the most dominant team out of all the groups? also the new offiside rule is dumb as fuck, although they've been calling it consistently I guess. Also the commentators kept going on an on about how that was one of the best goals of the tourney... she wasn't even shooting and it was an own goal off the defender lmao

Yo, today is the DAY. Match of the tournament. US is going to have to be better than we were against Spain, much much better in fact. Looking forward to seeing Jill's selections - I think Lindsay Horan has to be in the XI. I'm also wondering if Rapinoe, Morgan, and Heath are fully healthy/fit after looking ragged for much of the Spain match. The team has so many attacking options that someone like Mallory Pugh is almost sort of an afterthought.

This is quite bad football. USA looks ragged and doesn't know how to old on to the ball at all, while France has no final ball, making unforced errors. Very bad.
