GV had Glog Gnaw and Tropicalia the same weekends in 2019. I dont think theyre scared of putting 2 events on at the same time, its just will they do it or not. Of course there will be audience crossover between Head in The Clouds and Flog Gnaw but I doubt itll matter.
The COS article makes it seem like it will be a unique show a la BeyChella. Definitely there to keep expectations in line as well but also setting the stage for it to be different than his last tour

Demographic of Flog and Tropicalia are almost total opposites.. the only reason I'd give Flog a shot this year, is because I don't see Tyler not debuting his new album show at his own festival first.

This is a stretch. Off the top of my head Kali Uchis and Omar Apollo have played both. There’s plenty of Hispanic people in LA that dress like Mac Demarco and would attend both.

not saying it's easy, but being so close to LA, surely they can find an artist who can mobilize quickly and is willing to drive a few hours for a paycheck. plus low expectations for a massive stage show since it's so last minute.

They had to replace him in 2019 on about the same notice. Maybe a couple extra days.

A$AP Rocky was just at Complex Con yesterday and he has no dates til next summer.
Seriously? Maybe they got fucked over by When We Were Young adding halloween weekend to its plans and they didnt wanna go into November cause Flog Gnaw might be right after if it comes back? That would be horrible cause Vegas in Sept is gonna be packed. iHeart Fest announces tomorrow so we'll find out if any potential acts are out. The onsale window would be really small and the hotel rates would suck on top of that. Dont know why GV having just canned one fest that had a short window and just put another one in that spot.

I saw a picture of a billboard out there but it was blurry and I couldn’t see the dates. I saw 2 tweets saying they saw it out there and the dates were Labor Day. But I guess it’s not official til it’s official.
