Clapton, Merle Haggard, Celine Dion, deadmau5, testpilot, John Mellencamp, and then you have some “knock off acts” in Plant + Krauss, Black Hippy, Mark Knopfler, Reed / Cale. Not to say those are all bad acts but it’s a lot of so-so up top.
i really liked my last one. i also thought this one was heat. shouldnt have draked and lumineedred and widespread paniced on the first one. infinity 1.0 took too many deads, most people didn't even know who i took half the time.

I think part of it is that as you go further back in time, you're more likely to find gaps in what people are familiar with. There are a lot of acts I don't know or know but don't really appreciate or have a personal connection with. With modern artists it's more likely that a voter has listened to them recently or has fond memories associated with them.

the order of the first infinity was super wonky. I got Sturgill rd 30 and St V like 25 or something bonkers like that.

I don't think "filler" is right. It's just random. And, frankly, unrealistic. (I lived with a big Celine Dion fan for a few years so I have a bit of a soft spot for her.)

I'm a Clapton guy and I think he's only a bit filler but when combined with the others I listed, I think he is filler. By filler, I mean higher up acts that are there moreso to beef up the top portion of a lineup than they are to get votes. I had a bit of filler last draft but it was a really big problem for me in the first infinity where acts like Plastic Ono Band, George Harrison/Ravi Shankar, Drake and lil Wayne probably weren't getting me any votes, they were just name grabs and ended up burying names like St V, Sturgill, Ween, MF Doom, etc.
