Hold up the poster says April 20-26, this might be an all week thing now
The vision for the festival is in the vein as SXSW. Prior to last year, they had sent a few people from VB to Austin for the festival to gain some insight. That being said I wouldn't be surprised if the earlier days were the speakers, Q&As, and cultural impact/culinary&arts/health and wellness events.
the twitter thread announcing it is full of people complaining, unbelievable.
Lol that’s wild. If this were a Bonnaroo mock, we’d all say it was “too stacked.”
it's full of people complaining about Uzi not being there, Trippie Redd not being there, DaBaby not being there, it not being worth the money cause there's too many up and comers, an ESPN radio host saying it's only worth it if you listen to the radio. just absolutely ridiculous shit.

Wouldn’t be the first time an ESPN radio host had an awful take. I think that’s what they get paid for.

Looking into doing this. Love this lineup and it’s only a 5 hour drive for me. Clipse are still one of my favorite hip hop artists ever and never had the chance to see them live. That’s a big one for me.

just moved to Philly and planned on going next year as well, unfortunately don't think i'll be able to pull it off with Coachella/Mexico City in April. that Clipse reunion...ugh. holding out hope that The Roots get them for the Roots Picnic next year, would say it's likely.
Every hotel at the Oceanfront is sold out after the inaugural year. Your best bet is getting an Airbnb in a townhouse off of Norfolk Ave or further down towards Birdneck Rd, but Im sure it'll be steep. Walking distance to some good eats and the Vibe District. Area is overpriced, but nifty. Highly recommend Three Ships Coffee.
They had a shuttle system to the Ampitheater near Landstown Commons (Princess Anne Rd/Dam Neck Rd) using school buses, which I didnt experience but according to the city it worked well. You could get a place there. They might have a revamped transportation system this year. Uber was a nightmare last year.
With the amount of acts on this lineup compared to last year and the fact that they plan on adding more, I think they had to at least have one more stage.
Clashes are going to be brutal enough as it is, don't give them ideas.

Ideally I’d just like to find a place within in a mile maybe mile and a half so I can walk to and from. Gonna start looking into places tomorrow.

Uzi is whatever. Trippie Redd is as phony as image bullahit can take you. And for Dababy, while he’s an okay rapper, his live show I recently saw was not only not very good, it was actually aggravating. Idiots on social media.
With Chance canceling his tour, wonder if he’s still in for this
It wouldn’t surprise me if he does just Pharrell & Friends, and not his own set. They are still adding acts later, so anything is possible with Pharrell. Unless another headliner-level act is added, my guess is the headliners will be Foo Fighters, Pharrell & Friends, and Post.

considering this won't have terrible ticket sales, Chance will still be playing.

Couple of tidbits:
- It sounds like it will start at noon and run until midnight.
- Last year, ticket sales were capped at 30,000. This year, it’s been raised to 60,000.
- It will encompass more than a mile of beach and Boardwalk.
- There will be three music stages this year — up from one last year — at 5th, 14th and 18th streets.
- The Virginia Beach Fishing Pier at 15th Street will be flanked with two stages on each side.
- Security check points this year will be off of Atlantic Avenue instead of on the beach. Two of the four lanes on Atlantic Avenue will be closed so that buses can drop off festival goers.
- More details from the festival planners are expected during a public briefing March 3, which means that the rest of the lineup should be out by then.

I'm debating upgrading to the Yellow Stage Experience for $1000. You get to provide a $500 charitable donation with purchase to be deducted off of taxes so its basically the VIP price.
