Thanks. I’m going weekend 2. I wanted to make a playlist for different genres so I can dig into all the different kinds. I’ve been so focused on Roo that I haven't done a deep dive of the smaller acts.

honestly, do half of the people going for George even know that the fest has updated requirements? i feel like a good chunk don't keep up with the fest in any capacity.
They'll get the permit. While I like the idea of Vaxx + test I don't think that it's feasible. Testing capacity in the city would have to be greatly increased to get everyone tested.
Also, I watched Billie's Disney+ thing last night. Kind of offputting that it was censored but damn, oxytocin, Happier Than Ever, and my future are gonna be incredible live.

That’s about 100k tests in 3 days. I don’t know if the city has ever even tested that many in a week. And does that mean they’ll have to test every single day? And I can’t imagine the outrage from vaccinated people who somehow test positive after already flying here. After Bonnaroo, Live Nation don’t want to stir another clusterfuck.

There were about 16,000 tests administered in Travis county last week. Testing everyone that goes to ACL just isn't feasible and even if it was it's a pretty bad use of testing resources considering the current environment.

ACL Fest previously announced that it would be requiring proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test for fest-goers. Meanwhile, City officials told KVUE the Pecan Street Festival was not, which is why its permit was denied.
The City also confirmed that ACL Fest's permit has actually not been fully approved just yet. However, they said this is normal and permits for the fest in previous years have occurred in late or mid-September.
