Hey y'all, it's Secret Santa time again!
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Send an email to lollydollops(at)gmail.com with the following information:
FULL NAME: ADDRESS: SCREENNAME:
Please answer the following questions in the email as well: A. Are you willing to ship outside the US? B. Is there anyone you do NOT want to be assigned to? C. Do you plan on sending anonymously?
I will randomly assign a Secret Santa to everyone using a number generator. If there are special requests, I may make tweaks as necessary. If you wish to remain anonymous when sending, please let me know so you don't end up with my name.
2. Answer the questions below in a reply to this thread. Your Secret Santa once assigned will review those answers to determine what to give you. If you would rather not list your answers here in the thread, please do so in your email. We can make that work. And if you know of members on here who might not see this thread, tell them about it. The more the merrier!
3. Secret Santas will be given out on (or around) Sunday, November 17th. Once you've been assigned a person, check this thread, but PLEASE, DO NOT reveal who you have. OK? Deal. If you need me to fish for some ideas for your person, just let me know.
4. Please, let's try to ship all gifts by Friday, December 15th. Gifts DO NOT have to be purchased. Feel free to be creative and create or craft a gift. If you do intend on purchasing a gift, let’s try to keep it in the $20 range.
5. Don't be "that guy". If you participate and are assigned as someone's Secret Santa, don't leave them without a gift. Please be prepared to participate if you e-mail me. That being said, bad things do happen, so if you have to drop out for some reason, please let me know so arrangements can be made.
6. Registration requirements: With personal information being handed out, there is no choice but to keep this somewhat secure. The threshold that was decided on in years past was a minimum of 500 posts AND/OR 2 years account activity. Should you not meet these requirements but still want to participate, please post in this thread and have someone vouch for you. In addition, participants must be in good standing with the moderator team.

I am skipping some questions due to the fact that they wouldn't make a good present for me.
1. What is your favorite genre of music? Anything on the folk spectrum or from the 90s
2. What is your favorite musical artist? My Morning Jacket, Brandi Carlile
5. What is your favorite non-music related hobby? I work a lot and travel a lot (for both pleasure and work), but when I am not, I am usually at happy hour, cooking, or sitting on the couch. Wild life I live.
6. What is your favorite color? Teal/Turquoise
7. What is your favorite animal? Dogs especially yellow labs, pits, and smushie-faces, but really anything furry and that has paws is cool in my book.
10. What is your favorite restaurant/fast food joint? I spend half my life at a place called Rizzuto's. Taco Bell is definitely my fast food of choice.
11. What is your favorite "Munchies"? Cheez-its, good pretzels, cheese/hummus and crackers.
12. Are you a collector of anything? Records (my collection is still pretty young and I don't have a lot - www.discogs.com/user/bonnie.wolters/collection . I do love Christmas and love decorations and all that jazz (my style is more classic rather than whimsical).

I always need earrings - big/small, fancy/fun. All are good!
I love housewares of all types (besides random tchotchkes). I especially have an affinity for things that can help me organize or store something, things for serving/helpful for parties.
An 18x24 frame is always helpful.
CT is going plastic bag free. Whereas I have a good number of bags, I really like bags and feel like I will need more

2. What is your favorite musical artist? Silversun Pickups, TV on the Radio, MMJ, Pinback, Tool, Interpol, Deathcab For Cutie, Radiohead, you get the idea
3. What is your t-shirt size? Women's tees - Large; unisex - medium (unless it is that super soft material and then a small)
4. What is your favorite sports team? Big Easy Rollergirls, Saints, Pelicans and Red Sox
5. What is your favorite non-music related hobby? Roller skating, reading, watching TV/movies, knitting, Sims4

9. What is your favorite book? A Brave New World but The Fever Series (by Karen Marie Moning) is a close second. Also, LOVE the Dresden Files. I don't buy real books anymore only ebooks. I am currently in between books.

IMPORTANT: If you send me candy or food of any kind make sure its prepackaged and has NO RAW NUTS OR SEEDS, they're super serious about that shit here. You will have to fill out an itemised customs form and shipping can be spendy. Please don't let shipping break the bank, I'm more than happy to cover the cost, really. If the shipping cost is expensive let NBF know and I'll happily pay for shipping via Paypal (can't do Venmo, it doesn't work here). Also, shipping can take a while and it's summer here, so be sure not to send anything too delicate or that will be ruined if it gets too hot.

A lot of the people who have participated in the past don't frequent the board as much any more and/or have had kids or other major life events happen in the past year or so.
I don't really want to recruit randos tho... the participation requirements should still apply to anyone who participates. Besides, it takes the fun out if you have randos involved.
