so, yeah. some of you may have noticed in this thread, but this show was a really big deal for me. for what will probably be the last time in my life, i took the day and camped for the rail and it was 100% worth it. what an intense experience and the setlist was fantastic. instant show of the year for me, almost definitely a top 5 ever. got a setlist, had some interactions with tim and zack, really just had the fanboy night i had been wanting to have for ~15 years now. tough to pick highlights but if i had to, bulls on parade, wake up, know your enemy, and freedom.
supЯefan - one step ahead of you, already have tickets for the other 4 nights lol

Shiiiit, I hope so? We're really trying to thread the needle of arriving in our seats right as RTJ is starting so that we save money on the babysitter. Maybe between RTJ and Rage?
Do you want to dance while also thinking about all the ways you've failed as a human?

I’ve been going to concerts for decades, but Tuesday night’s MSG show was, hands down, the most intense, 190 proof, balls-to-the-wall rock show I’ve ever seen. Shivers up the spine 2-3 songs in. We are fortunate, indeed, that after so many bad breaks this tour finally came together. Hope to catch them again on the Spring festival circuit.

obviously a different experience in the lower bowl than on the rail last night, but the show was just as intense. tire me and (especially) vietnow were awesome to hear. very ok having a night off tonight lol

I hadn't listened to "Born of a Broken Man" for a looong time before last night, but did you guys ever notice that the chord progression and the way the guitar sounds during the verses in that song is exactly like "Right Here, Right Now" by Jesus Jones? I wonder if that was intentional or not.

You are going to have to cuddle me if I have a panic attack like I did at Beach House.
Why would you be having a panic attack?
Also, Beach House? The only thing they make me want to do is sleep
Since my seizure in the subway in March, I've had panic attacks consistently. Beach House in Asheville, the temperature was high and the physical feeling of that many people around me caused me to have to sit for 25 minutes before going all the way to the back away from people.

Sorry I'm a fucked up human being.
I hurt my back at work last week, plus I like personal space - which is why I picked the seats I did.
In 2012 I saw Umphrey’s McGee out in Western Mass. Had second row tickets behind GA pit.
Between the kid behind me overdosing, other people doing weird shit nearby, and then a ton of people rushing the pit once the show started - had a good anxiety attack and ended up moving to the far back before leaving early altogether.

Damn, that’s a bummer. I really hope that they end up doing a festival run next year, especially in Europe.
Theyre supposed to have some stuff booked but this throws a wrench if they want to rebook those euro dates. Also El P confirmed its an achilles injury.
I’m glad hes gonna be able to rest. very Selfishly hoping they still do Coachella and Boston Calling next year though and that the rescheduled euro dates allow for that

So, you're not alone.
It's not about being alone about the situation. It's the fact that I can't even talk to our friends about how serious the attacks have been and the anxiety, and being with Liz and her bf and literally feeling like such a noob on the ground in Asheville. It's about going to the psych ward, it's about the nightmares, it's about the consistency of trauma that's going on that no one seems to give a fuck about if I bring it up.
I want to have a good time at the show. That's all I want. I just need to make MYSELF laugh at my panic attacks (i.e. cuddling me) or I'll just fall farther into whatever shit hole I'm in.
7. Close Your Eyes (And Count to Fuck) [with Killer Mike and El-P, new Rage arrangement - this is obviously the pipe dream here]
have to brag about calling this one, finally getting to hear zack do his verse on this was a highlight of the run so far
other night 3 notes:
- without a face was sick, really hoping for no shelter tonight since that's the only song on the tour that hasn't shown up at msg so far - zack was way more talkative, speech during the bullet in the head bridge and telling the crowd repeatedly that no one else in the world plays guitar like tom can - watching the show from the last row of the balcony was a neat juxtaposition to monday but i'm pumped to be back on the floor tonight - i'm not even close to getting sick of this
My friends need two tickets for tomorrow night. If anyone knows anything hit me up. Thanks!!!
whole bunch of side stage tickets just went up on ticketmaster, both lower bowl and balcony
Thanks! Yeah, I noticed that. I’ll let my friend know. I’m pretty sure he wants better seats than that tho. But I’ll also tell him beggars can’t be choosers. Soooo stoked for tonight!!!!

Those side stage are not even that bad. You will hear it perfectly fine and its not obstruced view per say.
