HMs Great... will come back to often
Horse Lords - The Common Task The Weeknd - After Hours (Have this here for the highs on the album which I find to be very high. It's a little more hit or miss than the others) Nicolas Jaar - Cenizas
HMs Good... Like them decently but will probably forget about 2 months from now
Little Dragon - New Me, Same Us Dua Lipa - Future Nostalgia Four Tet - Sixteen Oceans Jay Electronica - A Written Testimony (Sometimes a weird take on an album will stain it for me, and when someone called this the Islamic version of Jesus is King, it kinda broke the album for me in a way it shouldn't have. I don't know how, but I guess I didn't pick up on how consistently religious the full album is, and the Religious commentary isn't layers deep. They are just praising most the time.)
This is unrelated to 2020, but I feel like we really slept on King Princess' album Cheap Queen last October. There were great albums that month, but no one even mentioned it. Then again, I never listened to it until this week and I've had it on replay for a few days now. I had gone to Spotify to listen to see if there was new Fiona Apple available and saw that King Princess had covered Fiona's song "I Know" (which is a phenomenal cover, btw)
TL;DR - go listen to Cheap Queen and I'm excited about Fiona's new album this month
I liked Jay Electronics when I was like 15, and he was an up and comer that was literally all potential.
Now he's an old dude, who idk it feels like lazy is the right word, who's part of the richest family in the world, and it seems like dude just fell up by accomplishing nothing.

I would have mentioned it if I was here at the time. One of my favorites from last year
I always feel like such a contrarian both on here and in real life and I apologize in advance. That being said...
U.S. Girls - Heavy Light
Waxahatchee is great but I've been so angry/stressed lately that U.S. Girls is really doing it for me right now. I wouldn't be surprised if I'm head over heels for Waxahatchee by the end of the year though.
HMs: Tony Allen & Hugh Masakela, Horse Lords, Nico Jaar, Four Tet, Porridge Radio, Sorry
HM's: Four Tet - Sixteen Oceans Dua Lipa - Future Nostalgia Shabaka Hutchings & The Ancestors - We Are Sent Here By History Nicolas Jaar - Cenizas Nazar - Guerilla
Haven't listened to a lot of music so, recs are always appreciated.
Nicolas Jaar - Cenizas Ringo Deathstarr - Self-Titled Pearl Jam - Gigaton U.S. Girls - Heavy Light Four Tets - Sixteen Oceans Dua Lipa - Future Nostalgia
To me it was really close between Porridge, Nicolas, and Ringo Deathstarr...March was just stacked!

I'll make an official vote tomorrow probably, but horse lords are in the lead right now.
Working from home and balancing watching kids and productivity and not going crazy has changed a lot of my listening habits. I have been listening to lots of new jazz and old dub reggae. there has been some great jazz released this month: Tony Allen, Chicago underground quartet, pulled by magnets (dude from polar bear/sons of kemet), Adrian younge (12 reasons to die) with Ali shaheed Muhammed, eivind aarset & Jan bang, snarky puppy, shabaka and the ancestors (other dude from sons of kemet), and a pharoah Sanders live set from 75.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

I’ve also been listening to a ton of jazz for basically the same reason. It’s interesting to me but doesn’t irritate the roommates. Haven’t had a chance to dig into stuff like Nico Jaar like I normally would commuting to work or sitting at my desk.
Anybody listened to new Purity Ring? Is it worth the time?
Overall, it's definitely slower and more relaxed than the other two albums, so if that doesn't sound like your cup of tea then maybe you shouldn't listen to it. The singles and "rubyinsides" are all good though

Yep, IMO the singles were great, the album overall not amazing.
