Ok I'll check out Halsey and Mac, but none of you can make me listen to post-2003 Eminem
EDIT: I've since learned there's a Black Thought feature on it, probably should see whats up there
The Black Thought verse is flames
KXNG Crooked verse even better. Royce has some gems too. The album is legit. Never understood when people say Em hasn't made good stuff in a while. Revival is the only album that was sub-par imo.

Royce used to be one of my favorites, but he fell into the same trap that Em did where he's shooting for the most complexity possible at the expense of flowing / sounding good.

I could understand thinking that with Em but gotta disagree with Royce there. I've always thought he focused on the actual rhyme flow more than most, while still mixing in great bars. Book of Ryan was a great album and I'm really looking forward to his new one next month.

Speaking of rappers past their sell-by date, I'm three songs in on this new Lil Wayne and maybe I'm crazy but it kinda bumps? Very disappointed to see he featured X though

i just saw a tracklist. gonna go out on a limb and say that 24 songs was a few too many.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

One time through now, and there's a couple of cool ones on there. "Mahogany" was good. 24 tracks was too many tho.

I haven't listened to really anything this month, but I liked the new Mura Masa album. Thought it would be weak after listening to the first two songs but it really picked up after that.

The first two songs were what I heard before switching funnily enough. I'll circle back around
I may have spoke too soon, this Dan Deacon record is something. Gonna give them both some more listens before I vote
Plus there's the added benefit that whenever I listen to Dan Deacon on record, I can't help but envision him in live persona, dictating the crowd to join together for a weirdo dance party while Dan bounces around with his shiny balding head shining in the sunlight.
