The long stroll between what and witch stage where everyone is crowded as hell together and you are just stepping all over plastic bottles and who the fuck knows what else.

I thought of this one too. I took a video of this walk at roo last year (which to what actually):

I like to watch it from time to time.
I watched this on edibles last night. Got me in my feelings
I couldn’t find a My Morning Jacket thread. So I’m posting the new album here. Sorry/enjoy!!!
I don't think I have ever listened to them. I feel like I had no clue they existed until I started attending Bonnaroo haha. I'll check this out
I’m not a huge fan. But I know a lot of people LOVE them here. And I’d be surprised if they didn’t show up on the lineup next year. That being said I’m kinda digging this album.

wow you've really never listened to my morning jacket? or am i misunderstanding?
they are a good band. check out "It Still Moves", still their best studio effort IMO. for live "Okonokos" is routinely recommended, and likely the pick for many fans if they could only have one MMJ record.

If I have, it didn't make an impression.. so probably not? They might be one of those bands where I think I don't know them but then realize I have heard them before, though. I will report back later!

If you're looking to get into MMJ, this new album probably isn't a great place to start (not awful, but kinda boring in spots). Check out It Still Moves or At Dawn
Okonokos is the clear starting point imo. It Still Moves is great but I take the Okonokos version of almost every song over studio.
I’ve always steered away from showing people a live album first. The problem I have with it is that if a band expands on a song, like mmj does, you don’t realize how great it is until you’re comparing it to the recording. I think if you hear fucking dondante off of okonokos before z, you’ve pretty much ruined the z version forever

MMJ Starting place is def It Still Moves or Okonokos. New album is great but pretty light on the rock and roll guitar parties that are kinda their specialty.
Really loving the blissed out feels on this one though. Wasn't expecting much more than B-Sides but it's definitely a lot more than that.
I like live albums in theory, because they can give you a sense of what songs are played live so that you know what to listen to. MMJ vary the setlist a lot so a live album is less of a crash course in the songs they play in-and-out every night, but it still can give a sense of what the band and its fans prioritize. Depends on the album and band, though. I'm not gonna tell someone to listen to I Might Be Wrong to get into Radiohead, even if they're the greatest live band I've ever seen.

Funny. Thats the exact song where Radiohead finally clicked for me. Lovem ever since

I think he's talking about the album, not the song
