More details, courtesy of Barry Courter at the Chattanooga Times Free Press (and the What Podcast), likely pulled from whatever media release reporters received:
I left that James Brown set 15 minutes in because it was sad and embarrassing.
Would love to see the White Stripes set again, same for that final Beastie Boys show.
I still can't believe I saw the final Beastie Boys show. They were supposed to play every festival that summer.
Remembering the debate between Beastie Boys and David Byrne and chortling heartily at every doofus who chose to see Byrne instead of the Last Beastie Boys Show Ever. Hope you enjoyed seeing David Byrne play the exact same songs he plays on tour every couple years, suckers.
Polo G came out with a track that samples The Way It Is. Hornsby referred to it in an interview I can't find about how it was one of his favorite uses of the track. Assume it has something to do with that.

I watched the only video of the James Brown set I could find and it seems good. What was wrong with that set? It was probably the best I can expect at his age and being in peak TN heat

He was married to a much younger, less talented woman at the time. He gave a large chunk of his set time to letting her perform and it was very cringe. Otherwise it was fine

I think that the set I saw in 99 went like fifteen minutes before he even took the stage.

I stand by my decision to have seen one of my all time favorite artists fer the first time.

I made up for picking right in 2009 karmically by picking Grizzly Bear over Gil Scott Heron in 2010 at Coachella.
Nobody is playing bonnaroo because America won’t exist after Donald Trump steals America and Mitch zmcConnell let’s it happne
He’s an idiot then because everything of value was stolen in the 80’s and 90’s. And yeah that would definitely have an effect on CORPORATE music festivals.

Virtual Roo conflict is killing me!!!! Beastie Boys at 10:30pm when I have to wake up at 5:30am for work. Can someone please rip this and share it with me???
I thought I read there are ‘exclusive performances’ or something like that for the people who rolled over tickets and the YouTube portion listed is free for everyone.
I love the listed set-lengths on some of these. You know that Metallica set isn't the full thing! Not that I particularly care 'bout Metallica, but why cut the set(s)?
I'll definitely check out Beastie Boys and MMJ, maybe a could more sprinkled throughout the weekend. But overall they could've done somethin' waaayyy better than this.

Is it possible re:set times that there will be multiple channels like an actual bonnaroo fest stream? I would expect them to indicate it on schedule but here’s hoping anyhow.
Also: where’s the love for Turkuaz ft Jerry Harrison/Adrian Belew doing Remain In Light?

Yeah, you are right. There are "pre-parties" for people who rolled over tickets with exclusive, never-released sets, or something. But the YouTube stream that starts after 4:30 Central should be available for free.

I really don't think so, unfortunately. I know that when Lolla and Outside Lands went virtual, they just used a single channel. I don't think this will be like Coachella with three channels going. We'll see.
Either way, you can count me among the people excited for the Turkuaz set. Hoping it's a highlight of the stream -- and I'm still holding out hope that it tours eventually. I had really been looking forward to it before Roo was cancelled.

I was wondering same thing about white stripes set. That was back in 2007 and webcast was just in 240p, as is apparent by the YouTube version of that one that is available. It will still be a shame if we get better quality recordings of these but then they are all chopped down to half sets.
