Lemme get dem Isbell tracks. Not familiar with him
Tour of Duty (Live from Alabama version) Danko/Manuel (Live from Alabama version) Cover Me Up Stockholm Relatively Easy 24 Frames If We Were Vampires Anxiety Hope the High Road
His three most recent records are all amazing, I just picked some of his most played live ones plus some older favs
So idk ish about Tool should I just listen to this new album ?
Lateralus and Aenima are the best. I constantly flip flop on my favorite. Lateralus is very close to a straight up prog record while Aenima still has some of their metal edge from Opiate and Undertow, albeit not as much as those two.
I put 16 King Gizz songs in my playlist and that barely feels like enough. I've been waiting for this set
Also put in 9 Jason Isbell songs but he just has so many good ones I didn't feel like narrowing it down
It was hard to narrow down the Lana songs on my playlist haha. I just put the NFR setlist on it... I hope she blesses us with some good Ultraviolence cuts. I need to hear West Coast and Shades of Cool.
Would love either both of those, also the title track and Money Power Glory.
I'm also confused why her sets have only included 4 songs from NFR including the Sublime cover and Bartender but not including Mariner's Apartment Complex

From the new album:
Pneuma Invincible 7empest (hopefully they have it ready by then)
They will without a doubt play the first two here and hopefully the third.
8:00 on during Invincible is some of my favorite rock music written in a long time and 10:50 to the end in Raleigh was my favorite concert moment from last year.
I’m hoping Trey jams will King Gizzard at some point. He’s a big fan of theirs.
I don't know if he would. I think he'd really struggle to find his place trying to play in that band; they're a machine.
I watched his guest spot with Khruangbin from Lockn last summer and there were some great spots but he never really meshed with them.
And Gizz don't do all that much jamming
I totally see your point. But I think there’d be a good opportunity for him to sit in on something off of Paper Mache Dream Balloon or Sketches Of Brunswick East.

First heard Invincible at the Birmingham show. That breakdown at the end left me amazed. Danny is working overtime on the new one.
kept it to ten songs for brevity's sake. if you like what you hear dig into the album run of Southeastern > Something More Than Free > Nashville Sound.
the pitch i'd make for Isbell is he's one of those frustratingly good songwriters. His lyrics in particular are worth paying attention to.
"Hope The High Road" was released in early 2017 and helped me get over the shit storm that was 2016.
"Codeine" might be my favorite break-up song of all time.
"If It Takes A Lifetime" is my theme song.
"Outfit" gives you all the instructions you need to live life across it's choruses.

"Alabama Pines" destroys me every time.
"Elephant" is about dying and it's incredible.
It's really hard to pick with him because he is such a damn good songwriter. Elephant is absolutely incredible no doubt.
One of my best friends really likes this lineup and is trying to convince me to go, and I'm definitely considering it. Just have to see how Lolla/Pitchfork look and some other events in my life, but I'd really like to make it happen

Elephant is incredible. But also incredibly difficult to listen to for anyone that's lost a loved one to cancer.

Great songs, we had a lot of similar ones on our short list.
So, the lineup seems to be getting really well received. Of course I’m in a bubble and mostly see stuff in here and Reddit, it I’m seeing so much less “this lineup sucks” than I think I have any year. Feels like another sell out
I’ve heard a couple of Isbell tracks here and there, and I liked what I heard a lot, but I’m not in a country music mood very often. Listened to Elephant for the first time.

I was just saying this to my fiancee too, it's weird to see it being positively received everywhere, but I get it, because it's deep and diverse. It's gonna be fun, and I'm glad I got VIP because yeah, it'll probably sell out.
