Hey guys I cannot contain my excitement to be back on the farm this year. I plan on proposing to my girlfriend this year at Roo and am trying to think of ideas of when and where to do it. I want to do it either Thursday or Friday depending on which day has better weather. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! She loves Bonnaroo just as much as I do so I know that Roo is going to be the perfect place. I saw this video that was from 2014 and it is a really good idea, but I feel like I can one up it with the help of my fellow Bonnaroovians . I've thought about doing it on the Ferris wheel but want to be able to capture the moment, so i'm thinking in front of it. I already have a friend out of my group who is going to have my GoPro recording. So if anyone has any good ideas let me know, everyone is welcome to be a part of it at Roo. I tried to make a post on Reddit too, but it hasn't been approved yet.
GoPros have a really wide lens so doing it in immediately in front of the Ferris Wheel won't look great. You'd have to stand, like, a hundred yards in front of the wheel to get the whole thing in there and it will look small in the background at that point. If you're in the open area near the Ferris wheel and shoot facing the rest of Centeroo it could look really cool. You'd have people walking all around you and the proposal would be in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the fest.
What you should do is take the camera into Centeroo on Thursday and look through the viewfinder as you move through the festival grounds throughout the day. You'll probably find a few good spots to do it so just pick whichever one you can get to without raising suspicion.
Reddit also has a ton of proposal threads so search that sub for other suggestions. Good luck!

I would just echo Thursday if you plan to do it in centeroo since there will be less of a crowd! My favorite time on the farm is that Violet Hour sunset when the temps start to drop and the sky goes cotton candy against the Ferris wheel, trees, and tents.
Good luck!! Being married to someone who loves Roo with you is the best!
