seems like artists of all different types want to get out there, especially since this is in September which is earlier than a lot of people on here thought would be possible for festivals. Makes me think Lolla will happen at its stated date.

i'd be interested in all three headliners. green day was never an exciting booking to me pre-pandy but if they play some shit off Dookie i'd be happy.
Haim, Young Thug, St. Vincent all good.
in terms of EDM i like Dillon Francis because he's silly. Earthgang is good right? DFA 1979, Yaeji, Shiba San, Modest Mouse, Ludacris, J.I.D., Purity Ring.
if this was drivable to me i'd probably check it out. but if this goes on then Fall will be flush with other festival options so i dunno.
but yeah this shows that Tame will be stateside in the Fall, puts a damper on the What pod's claim that Tame won't be at bonnaroo. still possible they won't be but not because of international travel issues.
Riot is the week before so thats a safe bet theyre in Chicago also.
Riot and LIB are the same weekend
Oh god I read one set of dates wrong, my bac. Ok, Ill redo my answer: planes exist for a reason. Put DFA on friday in Chicago ( or even thursday ) and then sunday for Vegas.
This pretty much the type of lineup I think we all expected. Not worth the expense me. I counted 12 acts I like and I don’t care about any HL. I’ve never seen Luda though and have been dying to catch him one day so I can keep checking off my 2000s rapper bucket list

Green Day does like 5 songs off Dookie every night so you’re good. And usually 10 old old songs overall. ( pre american idiot ) Expect a 20+ song show out of them for sure. Theyre good not to go crazy with new album material cause they understand everyone wants to hear the hits.
This is only the SECOND TIME Green Day has been booked for a US festival. First being Lolla 2010. It’s been 11 years since Green Day has headlined a US fest. Pretty crazy when you think about it. Good for Life is Beautiful.

they'd put on a way better headlining set than say, The Killers

The stadium shows they’ve been running for the past 10 years have all been really fun. I could only imagine how much fun that would be to close out a night of a festival. It’s gonna be a fun time imo
Billie Joe is probably going to make the band play past the curfew and dare them to turn em off. Everyone in the audience will eat it up. And yeah, a Green Day festival set is really rare. And its interesting that they never ended up on OSL this whole time cause thats the last big bay area act they need to book.
So what festival is going to be next to release a lineup? Chicago isn't approving any mass gathering permits until the end of March so I'm not expecting any of our fests to announce until sometime in April.

Interesting stuff here . Especially this quote.
“ there’s a lot of great technology out there that’s now tracking, you’re seeing what CLEAR is doing with tracking, seeing if people have a vaccine or tested. If there’s a world where we’ll need to do that in September, if there’s a world where the world is completely back to normal in September, we’re gonna meet the moment and provide the best experience and safest experience as we can at that time.”
I think we can all agree on how good it feels to be able to analyze a new line up again. I don't particularly love this lineup, but with the pent up demand and those headliners I would wager that this sells out. It makes you wonder if this opens the floodgates for other festivals to begin promoting for the fall now that LIB has taken the leap.

ACL fest. Texas just announced 100% capacity for opening day of baseball with mask required on April 5. Safe to assume they will announce their lineup any day/week now.
EDC also. Whether they announce its in May or September. We should see that one soon too.

They "headlined" Global Citizen Fest 2017.
I didn’t know whether to count that Or not since it’s like what 6 bands in one day and they all play like 5 songs. But fair.

I saw Green Day at Warped Tour and Voodoo Fest back in the day.

ACL usually doesn't announce their lineup until the first week of May.

Nice! They were supposed to headline Voodoo in 2012 but we’re replaced by Metallica. I didn’t realize Voodo has been around for as long as it has
