Honestly shocked Drake has never done the halftime show before
Decent chance he has said no. Rihanna has kept turning the nfl down to do it. The closest they got was in Atlanta when they had a mini fest on the friday with Migos, Ludacris, T.I and Lil Yachty. Although with Atlanta they had the best shot for booking a rap act in Outkast which wouldve gone over well.
Scramble time counts? Come on. The 29 pressures is enough of a stat to show he had no time to throw. Imagine if Mahomes didnt have the ability to scramble, he would been sacked 10 times.
Has Jay also turned them down or am I having a Mandela Effect moment?
And I was kinda joking about BEP but they are pop-rap. Like, I get they suck, but they rap. There are three rappers and a singer in the group.
He has a deal with the NFL on making the halftime show “more black” suffice it to say. No idea as to why he hasnt done it yet, but there are only a handful of rappers who have enough appeal anyway and the catalog to do it, and he qualifies. But the NFL wants Bruno Mars like every year if they can help it. Dont know what its gonna take for them to try out like Kendrick. But they have such strict parameters anyway cause you cant be political at all with the performance. MIA got banned just for flipping the camera off.

Boston being second is pretty hilarious. Most Pat fans still really love Brady.
Do people really think the NFL rigged the game or the refs were on the Bucs' side? Chiefs offensive line was banged up. Bucs have a really good defense and pass rush. I mentioned this before the game. It's not some conspiracy. I think if they were going to rig it, they'd probably rig it in favor of Mahomes, who will be the face of the league for the next decade or so.

Most Pats fans I know were rooting for the Bucs to win. I've seen a couple people in Brady jerseys but Tampa Bay. The Fox stations in Boston and Providence often would show Bucs games, even if most of the rest of the country was airing something else. Plus Boston and Providence both were top 5 in ratings for the playoff game against the Saints and the NFC championship.
A friend of mine and his gf are big Pats fans. They came over to the SIL's Super Bowl gathering the other day. Their 10 year old son however, he was wearing a Cleveland Browns hoodie. Brady leaving and Cam Newton being trash apparently made him want to switch allegiances. Then again, he's 10 so how long will that last?

Yeah, I had a Broncos phase when I was 7 years old because they beat the Packers in '97. I had a Terrell Davis jersey and bet a waiter at Cracker Barrell they would beat the Falcons for a free meal. I never did collect on that. I still have a Broncos blanket that's really good for blacking out windows. Eventually came back to the Cowboys in the illustrious Quincy Carter era.

Well the insane one is the AWS stat of Mahomes having rushed for almost 500 yards throughout the game, lol.
And regarding the lower ratings: Lots of people cut the cord even more this last year cause they mightve not been able to afford cable tv and stuck with streaming. CBS has their streaming service which was pushing a free trial promo the last couple weeks so a decent chunk of watchers were on there so it had to skew the tv numbers a bit. Unless the 93 million is including streaming numbers, then its shocking.

Wouldn't think the book would allow that. I'd say that's misuse of inside information, and considering he also committed a criminal act.. Not sure I buy it.
Like, if you placed a bet on the Chiefs and broke Tom Brady's ankles before the game, you probably wouldn't get paid out. I'm no expert, though. Just a hunch.

That makes sense. It all depends on the fine print, I suppose.
I think the AFC will be the Chiefs again, and the NFC is more open. I'll say Tampa. Their defense is really good and their offense isn't great, but it's solid and could get better. But Steelers, Saints and Packers are all gonna be in the mix, and I wouldn't write off the Ravens or Seahawks yet. Should be a really fun playoffs.
Sorry if that's coming across like Magic Johnson. Short answer: Chiefs-Bucs.
Rams get to win now and Lions get some rebuilding pieces and a serviceable QB. Think it's a pretty fair deal
Win a Super Bowl?
Not saying it's an unbalanced trade. That's a lot to give up, though. Maybe NFC is weak at QB going forward. Stafford is 32, though. He's not a young guy.
