I can't find the quote ATM and it made more sense the way he phrased it but it's kind of a valid point. That's where the real profit is, percentage-wise. (Not that we wouldn't all be rich on the margins of NFL ownership.)

Well they got about two months (before the season starts) to come up with a new name and logo. Come up with new jerseys, helmets, banners, everything else you could possibly think of.

Snyder is my least favorite owner in sports. He's a complete chump. I do hope they go with the Red Tails. Not only does it honor the Tuskegee Airman but also because their asses have been kicked since Snyder got the franchise.

Yeah idk sang. I didn’t yet see the terms of the contract. It’s very long and has to be an assload of both guaranteed and upfront money. If he stays mostly healthy throughout, the 40MM a year might be a bargain toward the middle years. I gotta go look at the terms
Most I could find was $450MM extension for 10 years (playing through 2031 at 36 years old) and a $140MM injury clause. I guess the rest will come out at some point.
Almost all the players are still under contract for next season (except Chris Jones), and then the NFL tv rights are up for renewel in 2022. Salary cap will go up.
