It’s been so long since there’s actually been a music festival for Supre to pretend to have inside information about, people are forgetting just how insufferable he truly is.
Shhhh, dont say the quiet part loud! And the ones who know me in real life know this isnt really how I am in person anyway.
I think we are usually a little too hard on Supre. He can be a bother sometimes for sure (dropping “scoops”) but at least he does a great job of posting updates about things
Aww thanks. But give it another 5 years and you'll change that tone.
Like we didn’t even get an MJA or something to balance it out
Yeah well, Randy died on top of all that so you just missed on the holy trinity. And I mean there is the private fb group where there is much lighter discussion about things.

This is interesting.
It looks like every single attendee was wearing a KN95, and you're not likely to get that level of compliance out of an American audience, but there are interesting take-aways. Only 6 people tested positive within two weeks of the show, which is lower than the average incidence rate in general...and, of those 6, 4 were definitively determined to have been infected elsewhere.
Do you want to dance while also thinking about all the ways you've failed as a human?
UPCOMING SHOWS 5/14 - Neil Young & Crazy Horse @ Forest Hills 8/17 - King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard @ Forest Hills 9/4 - Pearl Jam @ MSG 9/7 - Pearl Jam @ Wells Fargo Center 9/11 - St. Vincent @ Brooklyn Paramount 9/13 - Lucius/The War on Drugs/The National @ Forest Hills
I’d be curious to see a similar unmasked experiment with vaccinated people! (mostly because after wearing them all day at work I would rather not have to wear a KN95 at a show lol)

Let's be real Bonnaroo 2021 is the test dummy for this.
Anyone have recommendations for comfortable, cool masks? Been wearing the disposable blue masks; other masks leave bad marks on my nose.
These are the brand I wear and I love them. Two-layered with a semi-bendable nose piece and adjustable ear loops. I wear them 8+ hours a day in an office environment... But I haven't tested them for long stints outside or in heat.

Contacts mainly. I refuse to wear my glasses whilst wearing a mask. I will say these are not great if you wear glasses... you will get foggy lenses. The nose piece doesn't conform that well.
They're supposed to have done/be doing a big show in England as a test but I forget what the parameters are.
It's happening May 2nd in Liverpool. The one caveat is that a negative test will be required for entry, so that automatically puts a bit of a finger on the scales, research-wise.

Thats this weekend and it just sold out. You have to get tested before attending and shows its negative so your ticket will be unlocked. and be tested afterwards. When you enter you can take your mask off and pretend nothing happened at all, thats it.

So not to whatever, BUT my masks all have a removable nose wire, adjustable/changeable ear cords and they don't fog up your glasses if you wear them probably. Plus, 100% cotton including a filter pocket... BUT WHATEVER! 🤣

That's my inventory...I haven't updated it in a min and have a ton of other fabrics, including plain fabric. Let me know if you see anything you like. 😘
For a domestic event thats going to be the first big music thing with vaccinations required, Global Citizen is putting on a vaccination drive concert at Sofi Stadium here in Inglewood thats going to air on 3 major next works mothers day weekend. Its being taped this sunday though. Tickets were free and you had to have been fully vaccinated as of April 18th. Theyre requiring you input your vaccine info beforehand on a website ( thats not live yet ) or show your card when you get to the stadium. Faq is below if you want to see more info. Ticketmaster has also labeled events with a ''health check'' icon so you know if they are asking for specific covid requirements.
I hope everyone has been well. Been absent from this thread (and mostly from Inforoo) for a while. Now I have a question:
Has anyone had to deal with an employer that mismanaged a Covid situation? Somebody from work reported a positive test result after working her shift today. She had called off one day recently but I thought it was unrelated to Covid. I informed my boss immediately, and I was able to go and get a rapid test (negative) an hour later. Now it's almost midnight and I haven't heard back from my boss, who said to keep quiet while he was waiting on the owner/president. I'm going to bed soon, and we'll have people showing up again in just over eight hours. There's another probable case, as well (her best work friend and ride to work).
I'm well aware that damn near everyone in the company had recent close contact with the confirmed positive case. I'm afraid that if I start making calls I'll be in major trouble, as the business can not and will not function if we follow proper quarantine guidelines. But the moral imperative outweighs trying to avoid being fired for disobeying an illegal order, right? Is this the time to blow the whistle anonymously and call the local health department? I'm afraid that will create an even worse mess. We're supposed to inform them of any confirmed case anyway, but my employer is definitely not afraid to fire key managers, with or without cause. So I'm risking my job if I tell anyone or report to the authorities without permission, and risking my job and the business if I don't report it to the authorities.
I feel pretty confident that if it actually looks like we will stall out at 60%, Biden will mandate getting the shot on some level. A lot of employers are already starting to mandate it. Cant really start a mandate until everyone can get it, but once everyone can, the mandates will likely roll in.
My employer has decided to require vaccines for the entire company. Being 1. a construction company and 2. located in Missouri, I'm wondering how this is going to go over with the majority of our employees. People in the office, like me, seem to be fine with it, but I could see this being an issue for on-site workers.
Update: We got a company wide email today from the owner stating that vaccines are no longer mandatory. Apparently, OSHA has recently set a policy for employers who mandate vaccines to report adverse reactions to the vaccine as an OSHA recordable incident, which would annihilate our company's very good OSHA rating. So apparently, our ratings and rankings are more important than worker health and safety, which seems very contradictory to me. But whatever... anti-vaxxers rejoice, I guess.

I would think that once the vaccines are no longer under emergency use protection and are approved, that will change. At least I hope.

Double post. This is insane and you need to report them. Fuck that job, it's not worth it

that makes so much sense. osha safety people can be the worst.
This dude just walked into Tropical Smoothie without a mask and the employees told him to put one on and he was like “oh I have to wear a mask? Sorry.” And went to his truck to get it Like bro we are a year and change into this thing. How do you not know that
Easy, youre getting the early signs of people not wearing masks because of new guidance for the fully vaccinated. Theyre going to start forgetting it since theyre being told you dont need it walking around outside. So then something like this will just make you forget.

I literally had the same conversation with woman at work yesterday. It's ridiculous.
