Trying Paxlovid. My wife took it and had to stop after 2 days because she was getting hives. Hopefully I have an easier go of it.
covid is really rough this go around, definitely DO NOT exercise in the month after. i thankfully followed that this time but ive seen a lot of anecdotal stuff from ppl saying they fucked themselves up by going too hard too early. also monitor ur heart rate, my resting heart rate hovered in the 110s-130s for about a week after testing negative for the first time but i felt better soon after that

not necessarily about Covid in particular, more about returning to exercise after illness… one of the biggest obstacles I’ve felt being a large person trying to lose weight is frequent illness. It makes it impossible to stay consistent with exercise, and makes staying disciplined with eating a lot harder than it needs to be. Or just staying in consistent social rhythms or routines that improve mental health. Plus having skip out on the concert hobby far too often to not get others sick.
Having to switch up your routine what feels like every 6-8 weeks for 5-10 days is just so disruptive. Improving my immune system has become my biggest motivation to get healthier… but it’s also my biggest obstacle.

The personal trainer I had a couple years ago was adamant about that. You can really fuck up your body going too hard too soon, sometimes triggering long covid (fun).
I was able to go back to work, cycle, etc, but I have't exercised since recovering beyond walks and yoga.
