Members: Marc Rebillet (aka Loop Daddy). Below is his description of the act, straight from his Spotify page:
"I'm an improvisational artist and I build these songs from scratch! All these songs were made entirely by me in one take."
History (taken from Wikipedia and his interview with Sway)
Marc was born in Dallas, Texas in 1988. His interest in music started at age 5, when he began playing the piano. During his 20s he got jobs in the corporate world, where he waited tables and took phone calls as a customer support specialist. Although he had been pursing music as a side hustle, he was never able to turn it into a full time career. That changed a little over a year ago when he lost his most recent job. He had a decision to make: Land another job for "companies I don't care about", or try to start booking gigs. He chose the later, and hasn't had to look for other work since.
He currently plays bars and restaurants, where he takes random words that audience members throw at him and turns them into songs. He once created a song about a small child drowning, and someone frequenting the restaurant walked up and unplugged him in the middle of his act (linked below). He also does live YouTube shows where he creates songs from topics that callers suggest to him live on the air.
While most of his music is comedic, he takes his craft seriously. A little over a month ago he posted this on his YouTube channel, which I think is a pretty great way to sum him up as a person: Making music is one of the most beautiful things humans know how to do. Every time I listen to music it reminds me of what a privilege it is to be alive. Let is wash over you and give in to its overwhelming power. Music is the motherfucking answer.
Major Discography (This is kind of irrelevant for Bonnaroo because he usually creates new music on the spot, and won't play much from these albums on the farm. But, I have been listening to his two albums and never feel the need to skip a track).
Marc Rebillet - 2018 Whenever I listen to this album, I'm cheesin' throughout the entire thing. Major stand-outs are Look at That Ass, Make a Choice, Kris Kringle (his most famous song), and Stop That Rape. The interludes are pretty funny too, where he uses different voices to create characters that interact with each other, even though it's all still coming from him.
Europe - 2019 While still a very goofy album, I like to think of this project as a little groovier, and slightly less comedic. As I mentioned earlier, Marc has been playing the keyboard since he was five years old, and it really seems to show on this album. The tracks Leeds and Sunderland are really pretty songs that show off his vocal ability.
How do you categorize this guy?
Sounds Like: Reggie Watts (Marc calls him the O.G.) Genre: Improvisational Comedic EDM Similar Artists: Reggie Watts, Lonely Island, Weird Al Yankovic Similar Bonnaroo Artists: There was an instance on the Europe album where I felt like he sounded similar to to H.S.K.T. by Sylvan Esso, but that's all I can come up with.
Suggested Listening
I have been enjoying his studio releases, but if you want to be prepared for Bonnaroo you should frequent his YouTube channel. He does live streams from his bedroom (usually in a bath robe) where he creates new songs about topics that callers suggest to him live on the air. This is his most recent live stream.
Probably the best place to start would be his appearance on Sway in the Morning, where you'll learn a lot of interesting information about his back story. Lots of people in the comment section enjoy how you see him turn Sway into a believer in real time. He starts creating a track at the 9:30 mark. After they work through a technical difficulty live on the air, you see some pretty great reactions from Sway at 11:45 and 12:27. The song also freakin' slaps, and honestly Sway should use it as the intro to his show each morning.
In addition to doing the live streams from his bedroom, Marc also posts full un-cut concerts to his YouTube page as well. I particularly love this full show he did in Amsterdam. One cool thing about this show is that since the camera is facing towards the crowd, you can see how much fun everyone is having. There are people near the front row that are smiling for the entire hour. He starts the show shouting about how he is surrounded on all sides, and before you know it he has turned that loop into an absolute banger. At 40 minutes into the video Marc starts working on a particularly beautiful song that I've had stuck in my head for a couple months now. It's a slow burner, but definitely worth the listen. At 52:14 he starts working on a beautiful harmony, and by 53:15 you get to see the full potential of his vocal ability. Right after he's done with this gorgeous song, he creates a track where he loops sex noises and it turns it out to be yet another banger. The range of emotions he can take you through in such a short amount of time is incredible.
Here is the link to the show where an offended customer pulled the plug on him. The event starts at roughly the 4:00 mark.
And lastly this is his most popular song. There is a chance he'll play it at Bonnaroo.
Physical Reaction/Live Show:
Haven't seen him yet, can't wait for that to change! Unless there's major conflicts you can catch me front and center for this one.

The streams in restaurants are probably my favorite way to watch him. Everyone usually starts out uneasy and confused and by the end of the video half the cafe is dancing and laughing. Not sure if I've seen that specific one, but I've seen a few like that.
