This game can we skip a four way and go back to a 3-way at the end of the round like we did a few games ago? If we don't no big deal it’s just to try to keep the game moving. I’m not sure town gained anything extra last game when they did a 4-way so I’m not sure we should stall the game

or even down to a two way. Can’t remember if we went that far in previous games
I genuinely wouldn't mind just lynching someone lol
I think we gain valuable info from d1 for later-on analysis; while I’m all for speeding things up a bit, I believe that going straight to a lynch prematurely is to town’s detriment down the road
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

What info would we miss out on if we lynched in Rd1? If everyone was attentive, we could still play out the 4 then 3 then 2 then stoning (where the person gets brutally murdered by rocks)... just in a shorter amount of time.

explained that way, sure, that’s fine. Requires everyone to be on the thread at active attention together tho, in order to move at a super speed pace while still doing the 4 to 3 to 2 evolution in votes.

I don't like the idea of a straight out stoning on D1R1 at all. To me, things are way more chaotic and it's easier for someone to slip out. When there are at least one or two runoffs, I think it makes some things a little more definite. But maybe that's just my perception.
I think one other issue with a D1R1 stoning, is that it doesn't force everyone to make a binary decision at the end of the day. Vote A or B. With a D1R1 stoning, the person stoned could only have 3 or 4 votes, depending on how the votes spread out. To me, that provides even more cover for mafia.
My preference is to end the day with 3 going into the runoff, but I won't be upset if it gets whittled down to 2 at the end of the round.
And like Rummy said, it forces everyone to be super attentive and active during the round. Unfortunately for me, that's a little bit of an issue with my work schedule.
I probably shouldn't have signed up for this game with my time commitment issues, but damn it, you weirdos drew me back in! That being said, I will be doing everything I can to be as engaged as possible, even foregoing some sleep! Just know that I physically can't have my phone from 5pm-5am Sat-Mon, except during breaks.
Like outlined in my above post, I really don't like the idea of a D1R1 stoning. I think it provides nice cover for mafia. I'm moving my vote to Kanye, since he brought it up. He also seems to be selling he's town fairly hard, fairly early. Could be nothing, but it's something worth noting at the moment.

Rothric the one reason I don't mind "accelerating" D1 is because it allows us to officially keep all 11 of us in the runoff. If there's no cutoff time, there's no eliminating people. I find value in switching things up entirely and seeing who follows along, who doesn't, and why.

I don't mind accelerating, I just think a stoning in D1R1 is drastic and to the town's detriment.
Are you ok with the votes ending up spread out like 4-3-2-2, or something similar? It could easily be more drastic. What's forcing people to consolidate their votes onto two or three people? Idk, to me, it provides more cover for mafia when the votes are spread like that.

No, I prefer that we settle on two people where votes reside. However, I don't mind this happening before the runoff is over simply because it keeps everyone eligible.

Sounds like we're in agreement in that aspect (consolidated votes). But do you really think there will be that many vote changes in the next 4 hours? Maybe I'm just being pessimistic/realistic, but I see it as unlikely.
The pace of these games are already much quicker than I remember (I know, I know, get off my lawn you dang kids!). I need a little bit of time to marinate in the outlandish theories that my mind conjures!
That being said, I won't argue it anymore. No point fighting it if that's what the group wants, just wanted my opinion noted.
*btw, the switch to "stone/stoning" in my mind is complete. No surprise there.
