Potent Jortles and SFA have all said a decent amount that makes sense to me, but it’s very possible at least 1 of them is duping me in some way
I'm trying hard not to let myself go down the path of "well what they said certainly does align with my thinking rn...so I should trust them," since I've agreed at times quite adamantly with: Jostles, Kanye, Potent, andddd SFA. And there's literally not a shot in hell that there isn't a Mafia in that grouping of four (and I think more than one, tbh).

Fair. I think Kanye was the one that said "rummy is talking like Mafia Rummy right now" or whatever.
If my votes make me look sketch upon your analysis, not all too much I can say/do about that now. If I try to defend my prior moves, I'll just look more guilty to you probably.

On the subject: Dan and I were pretty buddy-buddy there in D2b, and both seemed frustrated over the same things. If I was Mafia, wouldn't I have wanted to keep him around as an ally? As in...I know if I were Mafia this game, and we'd had the friendly back and forth that we did, I would've certainly had him stick around, not submit him as the whack.

It is a quiet game so it is weird overall. Usually mafia waits till late day 2 or day 3 to come at me for being quiet, now they are probably on me early for the opposite. I'm not sure what to think. I'm also unsure if eating more or less corn will help me out
It’s the inforoo mafia paradox. Game is quiet so go after the most active player (vote based haven’t looked at post count). It’s truly mindblowing sometimes
My guess is Mafia was kicking back. And I usually don't say that before someone points out that "we" say that every game. Ideal runoff would be Potent / Dan / Kanye. That grouping is usually the collective life of our games and imo they have all taken a noticeable step back. Haven't looked at post count but I just don't feel their presence as much. Can't say I have a decent grasp on anything this game. My two reads were Tranter as Town and Theo as Mafia. So I'm definitely open to ideas.

If I lock a vote now, and there’s 3 mafia alive, they can just lock on whoever I lock on if I hit a town, and the game ends. Not doing that.

I actually do want to hear from Teddy just because I think he is specifically likely to slip up, but in general we dont have a choice. These next two exiles are blind again.
That’s funny considering teddy was the original person I was calling out
1. Literally all mafia look for how people vote to find inspector.... but also to narrow down suspects based on timing/known info an inspector would know. To clarify, this doesn't just mean who a suspected inspector voted for. So claiming the exact events of this game could point to me based on something that banal is a pretty bad argument.
2. I have the PM conversation from both our games together saved but I'm pretty sure I can't post screengrabs. But if I remember I've went into pretty fine detail about the actions and words of everyone. It's how we had it narrowed down to a couple of choices in the first game. The second game wasn't as active but we still had the actually inspector in our top suspects. Point being there was much more to us, and me specifically, looking for mafia in those games. To cherry pick one little detail of the paragraphs I wrote in those PMs and use it to tie me to completely unrelated and unknowable events is fairly wrongheaded.
3. The first person we whacked in that first game had like 4 posts. Nothing super interesting he did besides the timing lead us to him. We thought he had your name and he actually voted to help you at one point. So again, it was much more complicated and nuanced than your suggesting in your attempt to tie me to mafia's night decision in a completely unrelated game.
4. "No one really attacked him" could apply to the majority of players. You also present this like mafia isn't a group of 3 people who all would be on the lookout for their name being brought up, etc. How you come to the conclusion that this applies more to me I don't really understand.
Basically this is all grasping at straws and it's frankly kinda suspicious. I've already said the mafia probably didn't have much to go off of. So agree with you there. What I don't agree with is this conspiracy theory logic of working backwards to fit some conclusion you're looking for. Especially when you're talking points apply pretty equally to everyone.
I've got some things going on in my life right now and I just haven't had the time/will to concentrate on this the last couple days. But looking over things I don't really have much suspicion as of yet. I do agree, as I've mentioned, that several players are acting very different. However, I haven't played in a good while so I'm not sure if that's an organic development or not. I've admittedly been pretty lowkey so far as well, so I don't have much room to talk.
After this weird post I feel pretty good just retaliating.

On my reread I don’t know if my potent suspicions were 100% warranted, but I agree with some people who are saying SFA. I thought his reasoning for his carini was weak.
It makes sense for you to poke at some of the people who haven't gotten much poking so far, inclusive of me, but can I ask why Dan voting T over Carini on D1 makes him less likely to be Mafia? T very well might've been Town...so what's the argument here? If I am missing something obvious, apologies

I'd started a response to this earlier in the day and took a break after reading round 1. Should have copy/pasted from the tab because when I finished and hit send i got an error message. Everything in my life is shit right now. I might have corornavirus because of the irresponsible idiot I've been letting crash here and that's like the 3rd worst thing of the week. haha.
Anyway, I'm not going to try to rewrite it all. I basically just went into detail about round 1 and how what I would typically latch on to doesn't really stick this game with no whack to work with and the lack of final runoffs. The main thing I think that sticks out in D1R2 where Jortles is taken out and there isn't much direct gameplay regarding the voting. But Jortles actually goes off on how weird the previous round was and how it was suspicious Carini was left out to dry for so long. So after rereading that seems like a very non-mafia move from Jortles in that specific timeframe.
You've played with me for years at this point. I'm not one to throw out names if I don't feel confident or feel I lack info. The reason I have the reputation I do is because I'm good at figuring stuff out later in the game... as in when I have stuff to work with. So I'm not sure what else you'd need to know about my headspace. If you think that's insufficient, vote for me.

I never have that good of a read on you and Potent unless events in the game lead me your way and I look at your other actions.
My guess is there is two mafia in the more active players shaping the narratives and runoff. Then one of the quieter types(Rummy, Carini, Teddy). But my thoughts could change pretty quick.
Bravo on this note / read. Too many bad players in this game to actually understand how much sense this makes and not move me forward in the runoff though.
