He had a hand in all three of their deaths but his behavior in the Teddy round doesn't track with the MO of an inspector at all. I think it's highly likely that Dan made that wild move as cover. Also, perhaps because of who was voting the opposite way.
Several of us mentioned seeing Teddy logged in that night after he was put in a position to be voted off. He made no move. Theoretical mafia allies made no move. All of this combined with Dan behavior makes it highly unlikly the Dan whack had anything to do with him.
So Dan's name was either among the players he called out over and over. Or it was Carini/King T. I'm thinking King T.
Interesting idea. Dan did vote to kill King T over Carini D1, so that makes me think there's a higher chance King T is vs. Carini. I still think it's more likely that Teddy is mafia over either of them, but I don't want to rule it out at all.
I just don't see Teddy as mafia. Which maybe I should start because it strengthens my case as a townie. Could you explain why you belive this despite my read of him. You've played with him I assume.
Are you serious with this? If it were the case, why wouldn't mafia try to whack Dan N1 knowing that (1) he made the killshot and (B) Theo would save himself as doc?
If they miss doesn't the doctor gets another save? Or would killing the doctor night 2 mean their attempted save is void? Because if it's the former it seems like a fair concern.
But if we narrow this down then it leaves us looking more at Carini then Teddy.

To start: There is the obvious. Dan killed Tranter in a fairly aggressive fashion after knowing that he wouldn't be whacked during the night due to the Doctor reveal.
Not that Dan made sure to post the tally from pre doctor reveal. This must be important.
The people not voting to kill his given name before the reveal were Jortles, Kanye, SFA, Maddog, Carini (dan and tranter)
After the Doctor reveal, the people not voting to kill his given name were Jortles, Kanye, SFA (Theo, Tranter).
These three bold names look familiar? Dan continuously suggested that Me or Kanye or Me or SFA were the correct duos to throw in the runoff throughout the following two rounds (evidence below).
Dan also continuously said that Carini and Maddog were his two biggest Town reads. Why? Because Carini was up against Tranter in the final round here, and I believe Danbob said to himself "no way we got two mafia in the finals on day 1." Maddog is a little more interesting. Maddog was voting for someone other than Tranter originally, but then moved to Tranter. I'm going in circles on this and will need help from someone, but I'm thinking its possible that he guessed Maddog after Night one and learned that Maddog was Town.
So just remember the positioning of Me, Kanye, SFA voting to kill carini instead of Tranter all the way through the final portion of that round.
On my reread I don’t know if my potent suspicions were 100% warranted, but I agree with some people who are saying SFA. I thought his reasoning for his carini was weak.
It makes sense for you to poke at some of the people who haven't gotten much poking so far, inclusive of me, but can I ask why Dan voting T over Carini on D1 makes him less likely to be Mafia? T very well might've been Town...so what's the argument here? If I am missing something obvious, apologies

I still need help here. I'm wondering if when MD switched to Tranter on day one it clearly looked like something a mafia teammate wouldnt do? He either saw something extremely townish from MD in relation to king t or he guessed him and knew he was town. I need to look again, but I think he chose to kill Teddy over SFA here, which is completely throwing me off.
After a reread I'm still on the kanye or jortles train. Potent is reading slightly town for me. I think the biggest thing that changed for me in the reread is that I'm probably rating kanye more sus than jortles as of now.

Can't understand why kanye was so hyped that I ended day 1 without waiting for the round to close then comes at me when I ended the night round without waiting. He did end up saying I was less sus after some talking but I'm wondering what was different between the two days
This is very interesting. This is why Dan was originally more confident in Kanye being Town. And I actually made a huge note about this in my current read through. Kanye pretty quickly celebrated when Dan moved to kill T straight off. He is saying that that didn't look like a post that a Mafia teammate would make. I actually really agree here.
I feel like enough has happened in this game to where I could be of some value post-reveal, but other than my own desire to keep playing, I don't really care if one of us two dies at this point. As long as MD isn't Inspector. I almost made my vote this round based on who I least likely thought would be Inspector. Fully expecting us to be down 4 Townies after tonight.

Dan voted to kill Carini, I think, because while he was his second biggest Town read, he know that Maddog was confirmed Town where Carini was only based on the strong idea that Mafia would not have allowed both Carini and Tranter into the same runoff.
Ok so I think Dan was assuming a 2-1 final split. Saw that Maddog voted for Tranter post Doc Reveal and call ed it an even up vote.
I think this caused him to become suspicious that MD was originally not voting for T, but had to be the one Maf on T in a 2-1 split after shit hit the fan. Im thinking he guessed Maddog and learned he was Town. From there on he was sold on MD as Town even in the face of Carini, who I mentioned was his second best town read due to circumstances.

I think Mafia saw / percieved that Dan killed off Tranter than then gave a town read to everyone who voted to kill tranter and was suspicious of everyone who voted to kill carini. That includes all three of us. This is not a case for myself or against either of you. We are all equally implicated by this, so I don't know why your tone is defensive here. I'm just happy to have found a Mafia (Tranter) even if hes dead. And in the process I believe I found a guaranteed Townie (Maddog).
All of this information will be helpful to Townies on Day 4 and I think we have a better shot now.
Your final sentence is fucking laughable after everything I just quoted. Dan asked for you and I and Kanye to be in runoffs over and over and over because thew three of us voted for Carini. We are all three objectively worthy of this runoff.
I'm really not buying that Dan didn't have one of jortles/SFA/kanyes name as a guess.
I'm pretty certain he didn't because he wouldn't have went down with two names in a game where Mafia had a more likely than usual shot to kill Inspector with that first real whack. He would have let us kill that guessed name. He guessed you and learned you were town. I really think so.

No - I think King T and one of his Mafia teammates was voting for Carini, and one of his Mafia teammates was voting for King T. Because all of them lining up against Carini would have been too suspicious later on, and they didn't expect dans quick lynch anyways. If Dan didn't lynch quickly, we may have seen a switch.

I did. I was commenting that it's weird that it didn't catch on. But also the only ones who have talked about it are the people in this runoff
I just think a misdirect whack is stupid risky at a point where you think inspector has come out.
I feel like a LOT of the inspector talk was baiting someone to come out and never did.
Forgot this last night, will do shortly, but I'd like to just search the thread for anyone using "inspector" and see who comes up the most. A bunch of people seemed to be talking about it while saying that talking about it was bad.
