So basically... Inforoo showed up to the show..lol ::raises hand::
*raises hand* after tame right?
Yup. I was a heathen who skipped Tame (that field was packed beyond belief, not what I needed at that moment) for Purity Ring--> Blood, and it was maaaaagic

So if Springsteen On Broadway was the only public show of Bruce Springsteen since 2016, could someone book Bruce Springsteen & The E-Street Band as a headliner?
If we’re going down this road, She & Him have only performed Christmas shows since 2016, so whoever booked them will have to bill it like that

I was tired as fuck from the sun, I saw people flocking to Tame and ended up going back to the tents and sleeping for 2hrs. I'm a notorious mid-day sleeper. Making my wake up to the show perfect, and then I'd have to check the schedule but I checked out one more thing before ending up heading back to groop.
edit: slept through purity ring > woke up for Blood Orange

Lane 8 at the silent disco?
I have never in 11 Bonnaroo's done the silent disco. I'm thinking I just watched a barn or something close out. This was the year of not having a late night act with dance music after 3am.

I'd never listened to Lane 8 prior to entering that Silent Disco and popping on the headphones. Hearing "Midnight" for the first time in that context/setting was really beautiful--still my fave track of his

ITSALWAYSSUNNYFORYOU T: Open Mike Eagle > William Tyler > Armisen > Ezra > Helms > Beats Antique (good day, nothing super exciting for me but a good Thursday) F: Lonnie Holley > Alex G > Ezra Furman > The Shins > Willow > Badu > Tame > Air > Jon Hopkins (pretty good day all around but there's nothing that sells me on traveling to bonnaroo, wonder if the zoomers have much to see this day) - yeah there isn't a ton for the zoomers but i think Tiesto, Knife Party, RL Grime, Roddy, Jack Harlow, DRAM, Ganja, would hit their quota. S: Hiss Golden Messenger > Hundred Waters > Sons Of Kemet/Sleater-Kinney (not a fan of this conflict) > NERD/SebastiAn/Red Axes/Yo La Tengo (not a fan of this conflict) > Beck > Gesa > Lorde > MMJ > Arca > MMJ (A ton of stuff I want to see this day but if kinda all conflicts, I dont think Lorde/Beck is a great ticket moving HL double, Beck unopposed seems unnecessary) - only an hour of Beck's set is unopposed, i could trim it a little further though. he is technically a HLer here so i think he does deserve some unopposed time, it being his first time playing Roo since 06' he'll be goin all out. as for that clusterfuck of conflicts, i'll definitely find a way to fix / minimize that. S: KOKOKO > Kurt Vile > Torres > Shamir > Octavian > Lil Nas X > Steely Dan > Grace Jones > Bruce (Really like this day, other than Grace Jones I think it looks a lot like a real Bonnaroo Sunday even down to KOKOKO playing at noon) - thank you! and yeah ik some people won't buy the realism aspect of Grace, but i think the slot is pretty perfect for her. just a wild ass way to end your Sunday (if you're not catching all of Bruce).

I'm not offended by sync - especially when it comes to brainless, Other EDM.
Ok, so this is like the argument about quantizing in producing and what you need to do in a live performance. I can't fault anyone for using sync, abusing it and walking away from doing any work during your set, that's a WHOLE different thing. Like with sync you have so many more options than to move onto altering your work if you are creating art that way. But also there's a lot of, "this bangs" "rave to this shit" "I will do nothing but slam my head like it was artistically altered now" mentality. That shit drives a lot of us up the wall, especially if you've ever had to actually work one of those shows.
I will also for instance tell you that Ross From Friends does fit in a larger sized DJ booth with their setup. From experience.

Great schedule, the only thing I'd drastically fix is that Saturday. Don't really understand why both Beck and Lorde need to be unopposed with then like 4 nice acts to fill up that gap, think Pepe did a similar thing in Infinity iirc? - Yeah idk that just feels most natural to me when you have a co-hl duo. like i said to DE I might trim Becks unopposed time, but i think he deserves some. Apart from some v niche acts, this line up is great, has a unique and personal touch to it. I like it though it kinda feels on the smaller side (especially friday)? Each day has like 5/6 big-ish names and then there's a certain drop off but it could be the way the poster is done aswell idk.
Small remarks; - put The Other on the bottom, not the middle of the schedule - any particular reason why? - Willow is overbilled (should be in a tent, unless I've missed some rise to fame as similar as Jaden did - did anyone draft Jaden actually??) - i think you might be overestimating how big Jaden is. He's got 7.5 mil monthly listeners and she's got 6.2 mil, but she has been steadily growing while putting out much better projects than he has, so im confident my girl can hold down that slot. and no one has taken Jaden. - Jon Hopkins on the Other, it's something but not too far fetched I guess. - Yeah we tried to significantly improve the Other (with acts like Hopkins, Gesa, Sebastian, Chrome Sparks) while still making it plausible. - saturday This has like 4 names, sunday has 7.. That's a bit of difference there - hm, interesting. - Open Mike Eagle on Thursday? Isn't he bigger than his slot? - Yeah our thursday is a little bit bigger than a strictly "realistic" thursday, but i again i think this falls under the "Improve Bonnaroo" direction. - Tiesto's slot feels like a wasted opportunity, what if you put him Which in between Beck and Lorde tho and put Meek in the Kehlani spot and put Kehlani in the Willow spot - will take into consideration, but i think it's a necessary spot for him so you can have something more niche opposite him like Hopkins on the other.
billing wise; - put Jenny Lewis and Yo La Tengo a lil higher. - RL Grime would be billed above Knife Party, Air is overbilled - Air were 6th on their day at Gov Ball, 7th here. Not too far off i think. - Baauer and Tchami would also be billed a little higher I think
Prolly my favorite out of the whole bunch, great scheduling and no big remarks on the billing either. Probably could use just a little bit more hiphop in there ~ sunday has like 3 relatively big rap names and the other days kinda don't (with ofcourse not taking Gambino into account).
Small remark; - Tenacious D would probably play Which/What and not a tent tho (and conflicting with Nick Mason feels unnecessary)
