Another note:
We have 110 artists available. Last year, there were 107 acts to play between the 5 bonnaroo main stages. If we are only doing 35 unique acts, I dont want to advocate for more artists, but if we are trying to include the potential for Comedy Tent / Who Stage / Where in the Woods, it could be a good idea to expand the amount of possible artists for a lineup.
This is currently something that could still be achieved by making your main stage lineup less realistic or trading to get more free agents from someone. But just a thought.
So small detail but we can draft 110 acts total. I counted the number of main stage acts (What, Which, This, That, Other) at Bonnaroo 2019 and it was 107. So there isn't really much of an option to book a Who Stage or much of a comedy lineup. But I'm okay with it.
Edit: LOL nm what Jortles said. We were obviously talking to each other

I hate 5 acts at a time. If you're end of round that's 150 acts between picks. That's a bad idea.
If you are at the end of a round you have 10 picks in a row and no one person has an advantage over another. Same as with any positioning in any draft with one pick per round.

The five pick thing would also make the final 5 rounds very valuable in the eyes of some. I might trade round 20 for round 46... or swapping in those rounds could be great trade pieces. The end result would be a heightened interest in the game throughout the process and significantly more unique lineups across the board. The end result of not doing it is a drop off of interest for the last 10-15 rounds and less unique lineups. The game is equally fair in either scenario.

this was a great idea when it was only ten teams, but at sixteen?

Btw, I sent the entire list of auction rules I have so far to Jortles this morning, and he has not offered a single opinion privately or publicly on them in that time. It's fucking eerie.
Hmmm yall seem preoccupied by the draft that's happening soon.
You're gonna love rule 2, though. Will not be controversial in any way. Just pure ecstasy when you see rule 2.
2) Once an artist or act is drafted, they are unavailable to any other team. Teams do not have exclusive rights to musicians that are part of drafted acts however nobody may select an act that includes a musician in a drafted act if the second act regularly plays 6 or more songs created by the previously selected act.
Does rule 2 make it so if someone drafts Roger Waters nobody can draft David Gilmour? It was pretty clear in the infinity once someone drafted Pink Floyd nobody else could draft Roger Waters or David Gilmour solo. Does this affect Dead & Company and Joe Russo's Almost Dead?

All of those things should be fine because they don't share members

They share Floyd songs. Gilmour doesn’t play Waters songs or vice versa
